Those on my flist that live in the same state, did any of yous get rain or just dreary weather all weekend and Mon? Since Sat morning, its been drizzling and once in awhile a shower of rain. But for the most part, it was just drizzling and dreary all weekend and part of Mon. And what was that light in the sky on Mon? Something called a sun? Pray tell what that was *hisses*

Aside from the crappy weather, it was a fun weekend having [livejournal.com profile] guardianhunter over. We walked in the drizzly weather Sat night to go down the street to eat dinner. Mmmmm....been awhile since I ate at the seafood place then once we got back to the house, I squeezed into her cramped car and went to the grocery store to get the goods for Sunday's dinner. We watched the first round of Adult Swim or at least till the midnight slot and then watched the Uncut Chris Rock comedy special on Comedy Central. Soooooooo much funnier hearing it un-bleeped.

Sunday I had Anna cook dinner which I couldn't decide so we had chicken enchiladas and fried mexican rice, yummmmm! Though I must say that she was brave for sitting in the same room with bubba while the Cowboy game was on; not me, I know better and head to the sanctuary of my compy room. I ended up sleeping half the day though I blame that on the damn cat for crawling all over me early Sun morning around 6:30am and after that I was wide awake. I tried to stay awake for Tootsie and Mona Lisa's Smile that she and I were watching on cable but I couldn't keep my eyes open. Finally was awake around 9 and made coffee so I could stay up for the rest of Sun evening. After watching the first round of Sun. nights Adult Swim, I was checking to see what movies were on at 1am and saw that on one of the HBO channels they had Cabin Fever on. I never got to see it yet and thank god that I only missed out on 20 mins of it and since Anna saw it before, she kinda filled me in on what it was about and what I missed in the beginning. OMG! Talk about a fucked up freaky movie. Almost reminds me of The Dreamcatcher regarding the disease, though it made me weary of drinking water, especially when you don't know where the water comes from. Except I blame the stupidity of the characters in CF, I mean come on! You mean to tell me that you can not SEE stuff floating in your water before you drink it??!!

Once that was over after 2, bubba was already in bed and us girls just hung out in my compy room for a bit. I'm not overly crazy for Martin Lawrence but I needed some comedy to get Cabin Fever images out of my head before I went to bed.

While Anna was taking care of business Mon morning elsewhere, I was rooting around in my closet again to see what else I couldn't find to put in my "yard sale" box. Went through my doujinshi box and found a few to sell, most of it being rare stuff that I collect so don't expect cheap prices for what I'm selling. I call it my "yard sale" once I have everything taken a pic of and uploaded since I have stuff ranging from paperback books, anime, doujinshis, calendars, my Playstation (1 not 2), unicorn/pegasus figures, and more.

Anna left sometime in the evening when I was taking my nap before work. I hope you have a safe trip up to New York chickie!!

As for music, I was able to catch Rammstein's new vid/song. Didn't know they had something coming out though I'm glad. As always with them, they come up with the most fucked up videos and I'm sure this is something that MTV would never show. I saw this on the Fuse channel around 10pm Sun night. There is this angel (I call it "IT" since you can't make out what gender it is) "giving" head to the singer and of course, other freaky shit going on regarding the other band members. Will have to add this new cd to the collection since there hasn't been any good music at ALL in this past yr that is worth buying.

Anyone on my flist like Chris Isaak's music? Just wondering since I happen to like his stuff and have Forever Blue and Heart Shaped World on cd.

And though I'd prefer their older stuff but has anyone heard KORN's version of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall"? (its okay) I guess they ran out of original stuff that they are doing a bunch of covers for this new album, unless it is nothing but a bunch of covers, I don't know, I didn't read or hear about it.

I was shocked when bubba was watching tv with us, they kept showing previews for the movie "Saw" and I told him how I like to go see it when it comes out. He said that he wouldn't mind seeing it as well *faints* I checked out the website Sat morning and going through different sections of the site that it takes you on, its creepy as hell.

I actually got a bit more written for my smut assignment, though looking at how much is written, I can't believe that I'm only at 280 yet it looks like so much more. And I also need to crack out some more words to my Naruto ficlet. *bangs head on desk*

Am also going to stop by Home Depot on the way home from work to sumbit an application. I'm sure they are going to need help soon with the holidays around the corner. Bubba and I were talking about the benefits yesterday of one of us having an extra job to get some bills paid off. Wish me luck on that. Actually I'm going to need the luck on getting the morning hr shift after I get off work.

ETA: Ooookay, it seems like alot of places are doing applications online now. *sighs* Hope it still works out for me though.

They kept predicting crappy weather, but we didn't get any. It was a little overcast on Saturday and sunny on Sunday. And Monday was monday. No rain though.

I like some of Chris Isaak's stuff. And as for Korn I saw a commercial for their new cd and I was wondering why I was hearing... some cover song I can't remember what it was now... I don't think it was Another Brick in the Wall but maybe it was.

I wish you luck on the two job thing. I've thought about doing that in the past and I just can't bring myself to do it. My Shikamaru lazy gene insists I can get by with being poor. ^__^

Its pretty cool this morning, 60 and then they are only calling for it to be 75 today. Would be nice if this weather would stay like this.

The song you probably heard from KORN was "Word Up" the other remake in which I forget who sang the original. Howard Stern played a clip of their version of Floyd's song the other day.

Yeah, I'm surprised my Shikamaru gene is wanting me to get another job as well. Though I'm lazy enough as it is with my other job and being at home, I need something productive. *lol*

You're right it was Word Up by Cameo (love that dang song, and I wondered why Korn was singing it).

The weather as been really nice and cool. Weatherbug says it's 67 degrees. :) I put on JEANS!!!!!! We might actually get a Fall that lasts longer than a week???????

I've heard some of Chris Isaak's songs, but not much - more or less goes with KORN, I find their music very interesting.

Good luck with getting a job, and getting the right shift! Hope it works out for you. ^__^

Good luck on the job search! Sometimes, I almost think that finding part-time employment is more challenging, because you don't have an open schedule for them to play with. But at the same time, who expects that someone working a part-time job only has that job? There aren't many people who can survive on the income from just one part-time job.

As for the online application things...beh, but I'm not surprised. Back when I worked at Penney's, they implemented a computerized application, but the computers were in the store. I almost preferred being able to take the form home and really read it through; I hate feeling rushed when I'm filling one of those out. At least with the online ones, you're able to do that at home.

For what it's worth, I think you might have an edge with being able to work the morning shift. Most people looking for part-time work have day jobs and can only work evenings; every place I've worked has really, really loved people who could pull hours during the day.

In any event, good luck! ^_^
