Yeah I feel bad about not going in order when it comes to posting caps I took from the dvds but oh well, at least I'm getting it done. The last few pics are from the character design clips on the "extra" part of the dvd. These can also be found in the Gungrave Backyard artbook if you have it. I love my dvd player on my laptop, it takes such smooth clear pics than what it looks if I cap them from fansubs.

scarbie, I had a funny idea for a Bunji icon with what we saw of him in this eps.

Sooo...since I took off work tonight, I'm watching Gungrave on TechTv. Needless to say, I'm already pissed off.
Eps. 7, now if someone else watched it tonight and either knows what I'm talking about (to those who seen it before or have the dvd) or just someone who saw it and saw the very end. I only stepped out of my room in a sec. and by that time, Bunji and Harry were in Harry's car talking. I did not hear Brandon's voice at the very end when he and Big Daddy are fishing. So just say that they really did cut that end part out, my question is WTF!?? WHY?!! I wonder what else they might have cut out that I didn't notice since it could be just a small slight clip.
It just seems weird to see it cut to a commerical only cause, well half the anime out there has those little blurbs where the commercial would come in to. But there are some anime that don't do that and this is one of them. And they cut into commercial like 3-4 times so they almost have to cut something in the shows to make it fit. This is why I'd rather see anime on Adult Swim.
Eps. 8 pissed me off too. During the welcoming party at Big Daddy's, after Harry walked away with Sherry, Cid says to Brandon "Your friend is quite the ladies man isn't he?" (or "Your friend sure is quick with the ladies") And guess what? They cut that part out. Again, I ask WTF FOR?????!!!!!! Are they cutting small parts out cause they play the full OP song or what? They don't bother with the ED song or quick clips from the ED animation. Nor do they even play the preview clip (even though its just talking) I also noticed that they are cutting what slight swearing is in this series too. Cid's son normally said Holy Shit! Where as of now, he only said "holy...!" I'd try to compare more but I'll admit I haven't quite finished watching #8 on the dvd, but I know enough of what I saw.
So, to all who are watching it for the first time, I can't stress it enough to just stick to buying the dvds. This is bullshit. Yeah, its good to see it on tv but to butcher it up is just UGH! Annoying.

Sucks, I have to go to bed early tonight. Both of us have to get up early in the morning and head out to Rusk and hopefully ride the train there later tomorrow.
I also finally got around to watching what I had taped of Wolf's Rain regarding Cher's x___x. FUCK dude! I sat there crying with Hubb, my god, so depressing. I didn't even quite act that way when Hubb went x___x last weekend. Though the Blue and Hige moment was just too adorable for words.

Those TechTv edits sound strange. You would think it being on cable they wouldn't mind the little bit of cursing. They might have cut out Cid's "ladies man" comment so Harry wouldn't look like a pedo. *LOL* That's pretty ridiculous.
Thanks for taking the time to make the screencaps. The first set from the fansubs were great but these are so clear! Looking at the pictures of Lee you wouldn't know he had the potential to be such a psycho. Heh, the Crazy!Harry folder is a great idea.

hehehehehe good one! But yeah, it is pretty fucking stupid on what bits they cut out. It still doesn't make sense!! How is this making the anime look good to the new viewers???!! Plus I can't STAND all the fucking commercial breaks, my god.
Thats true about Lee, maybe he's got a personality disorder *lol* I totally agree on the good caps from the dvd. I love it even more that I don't even have to crop any pics though I do have to go through EVERY SINGLE pic and change them to jpg since for some reason, my dvd capture feature will only save it in bitmap. I have to work overtime this Sat so that will give me time on Fri night to cap #8 and will try to work my way back to the earlier eps. since I'm bass ackwards like that ^_~

I'm still scratching my head over the edits they did. Its not making the series look good to the new viewers. Hopefully those that did seem interested in what they saw, will buy it, totally much better that way I think.
UGH! Even though I knew what happens in WR, I think just hearing the dub actors pour out their emotions is what made me break down even more. Though thats cause they got a great casting list for the english version and Hubb's english voice is Gene Starwind from Outlaw Star (have you ever seen that anime series? Its awesome though I only have the series on vhs tapes BUT I am trying to get the dvds for X-mas).

Anyways, I hav my vcr record it along w/Gundam Seed, Inuyasha & Wolf's Rain, & Charmed if I'm not home during the wkend. I forgot to set the VCR to record tonight's eps, but i know they'll repeat it again tonight @3am; So when I get home, I'll just set the VCR to record those GG eps I missed.
It seems like AS finally got caught up w/the eps I watched during AnimeNext. & I also notice that AS will be starting a new series during Inuyasha's Sat time-slot, 12a! Right now, they dont have anything listed for this Sat from 1230a-2a; @2a they have Futurama listed again... I HATE THIS!!!! THIS SUCKS!!! >_<++++
BTW, does any1 know when the next XMen is gonna be shown, or did they cancel the series..... =\

I know I need to get back to watching the IY subs I have again. I think the last one I stopped at was 114. The sooner I can finish watching this, the better. Yeah since it seems like they will be airing ROD movie since they don't seem to be showing a repeat of WR. I'm sure its going to fuck the whole lineup up, though just think, the first weekend of next month will be FMA. Still have to send those discs to you so your going to have to send me a new mailing addy since I seem to misplace everyone's addresses.
I have no clue about the X-Men stuff. How long has it been since they showed it? You could ask Dawn, she might know though its hard to say.
