Here be the outcome of my ear doctor appt. yesterday::
*wipes sweat from brow* Everything looks to be in the clear. Not sure as to how big or small that hole I had in my eardrum was since the ear doc told me that its good to go. She cleaned some wax out of my left ear, I guess that I couldn't reach. Let me tell you, having that done doesn't feel good, especially if you don't like a huge surge of air/vacuum in your ear. It feels like what they do while your at the dentist while sucking up your drool and stuff. After that, I went into the sound booth where they put headphones on you while playing different pitch of beeps. After that part, she would say certain words that I had to repeat back and her voice would get lower and lower. Not quite sure what that part was for. Then she put on this other headset that this pointy piece is placed behind your ear where it sits on the ear bone and they play the same beeps. Pretty neat that you can still hear it through your bone like that.
That was it of the booth and next was the fluid machine test again which everything came out fine on the graph. One last stop was waiting in the room again for the doc to come back and let me know what is what. Since things are good for now, I don't have to worry about taking those drops anymore BUT NOW I have to take this nasal spray that is supposed to reduce the pressure where this tunnel that goes from your nose to your ear is. My next check up is Dec.21st.
When I told her about my ear problem when I was flying back after X-mas, the pain, pressure, and horrible sound, I now understand why it happened. With the horrible cold I had with sore throat and stuffy nose, with all the blockage of my nose, my ear had no way of releasing the pressure, hence why it caused me so much pain in my right ear (not so much with my left). She said the best thing to have done or to do to help relieve a bit of that pressure is to take Sudafed or any of those type of decongestants that help relieve that pressure. NOW someone tells me!!! I told her that I don't have to worry about that right now since I don't plan on flying for quite some time.
So when it came time to pay, my eyes nearly popped out of my head.
Total overall:: $458!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!???
What came out of my pocket: $35 ^^;;; Again, all I can say is thank god for insurance. Bubba and I agreed, HOW IN THE HELL can ppl even try to afford to go to any doctor's w/out insurance??!! Its fucking crazy!!!! No wonder us kids tried our best on not getting sick cause my family could hardly afford a reg. doctor visit, and I'm sure back then it was "cheaper" than what it is now. Hell, even my nasal spray came out to $30 >___<
Here is the kicker that pisses me off. There is a section that says Referral with the amount of $250 along with my reg. doc's name above it. You mean to tell me, MY DOCTOR was given $250 just cause they referred me to the ear peeps???!!!!! >_____________________< IF that is the case, I should've lied about it and said I found them on my own. But then the chick at work told me thats what they do and I couldn't worm my way out of it since they no doubt faxed my chart to the ear peeps.
When I go back in for my check up, I'm curious to see how much that visit will be or what little they will do just to check out my ear.
Regarding the ear drum and scar tissue. I was looking at an ear chart that was on the wall and the ear drum, to me, looks like a raw oyster *ick!* There was a pic of an ear drum with HEAVY scar tissue but she said that mine is far from that, but she said the color of it and how its placed is what mine looks like.
And that is the scoop on the poop about my ear till Dec.
As for animevids, I came to this gripe while checking stuff out last night.
#1. Linkin Park is SO GOD DAMN over rated and over used in ALL animevids. I swear if I have to see and hear one more vid made to their stuff, I don't care if its new or old, I'm gonna fucking scream or break something.
and
#2. I noticed this with Gungrave vids. WAAAAY too many of them are based on the 1st eps. Granted this was an exception when GG first came out but come on ppl, we can create some new vids from "newer" clips now. I had to delete some of the ones I downloaded just cause its all based on 1 eps and that gets pretty old.
For those that missed my late night entry last night, I found a bunch of "newer" vids made to the series that was worth it here:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/yankeerose69/323983.html
Another I shall add onto the list I was able to watch last night is:
"Tribute to Vash and Brandon" by fireun. Song used: And the Hero will drown by Story of the Year.
Very cool vid, I mean come on, you got Trigun and Gungrave side by side. How more awesome can that be?
Another silly one is:
"The Gun, The Grave, The Ugly" by anron188. Song used: The good, the bad, the ugly by Morricone, Ennio. Its pretty funny when you think about the music and the clips they used. Its a showdown all right though no corral.
