This covers Thurs and Fri.
Thurs
The thing I hate about working later is that it throws off my sleeping schedule. Since I got home from work pretty early Thurs, I wanted to try and get a nap in before it was time for dinner. But I just wasn't overly sleepy, yet that is. Before dinner, bubba hooked up the laptop and the digital camera and we had a web chat going on with his sister and family in NY. Pretty neat, too bad I couldn't have done that with mine. Though he could've waited till AFTER we ate dinner. They were messing with that while I decided to eat, I'll be damned if I was going to let the food go cold already. (mashed taters and stuffing don't stay warm for long). Good food but for some reason, I wasn't overly hungry. I didn't eat much of anything for breakfast though I was sampling stuff here and there while I was cooking dinner (as what all cooks do ^_~). Not long after dinner, as per norm of wanting to sleep, it hit me pretty hard and was so tired. So pretty much the rest of the day consisted of me sleeping it away. -____- When I finally did get my ass up, we decided to watch Shrek 2. Course I kept dozing off through that and managed to stay awake near the end so I'm going to have to watch it again. Not sure which movie I liked but you can't help but love Puss'n Boots. *lol*
I'm surprised I was still tired when it was time to go to bed, though I paid for that by waking up around 5am Fri morning.
I have to laugh about what was on tv all day Thurs. Last yr on Discovery, it was a Monster Garage marathon and this yr it was American Chopper.
Fri
Fri consisted of me playing with Gungrave Overdose ever since I woke up. My hands are still a bit crampy from holding that controller half the day. So come morning we made a big breakfast since Mary (s-i-l), Vince (her hubby), their kid Anna, and my great-niece Christina(nephew's kid) stayed the night. Sat around and bullshitted after eating, went back to my room to play more PS2, had my nieces come in and bug me since it seemed like they weren't happy enough to play in the living room. (keep in mind these kids are 3 and 2 yrs of age). Later, Mary came in and chatted some more, no sense in sitting in the living room trying to talk since the men were watching whatever on tv. She was planning on visiting her aunt and uncle once she put the kids down for a nap, bubba had to go to work, and so it was just Vince and I chilling out for the rest of the day.
In regards to playing GGOD, I decided to see how far I could get with Jyuji. He's a cool character and all but damn if it he isn't the hardest to play on covering stages as quick as Billy and Grave. He's got potential but doesn't seem quite as strong. I got as far as the last part of the Dark City stage where you battle the bulldozers after trying to clear the path for the truck. I would be sooooooooooo close to taking down the last dozer when I would end up dying. Tried it at least 3 times before I started to get pissed off and my hands were protesting from playing so much. I think I like playing with Billy the most now on GGOD with Grave coming in as 2nd.
While I was playing with the game on Thurs and Fri, Anna kept asking me about playing. You can only tell a 3yr old "no" or that she couldn't, so many times. It wasn't being mean, its just that her hands are too small to even work the damn thing so I dug out an old controller and let her pretend she was playing the game.
I had to laugh at the girls later on Fri. Smokey (the cat) was in my room for a little bit till the kids came in. Then they started to "pet" him which only made him want to get the hell out of dodge. He made it as far as the outside of our bedroom door and the girls followed him by crawling on the floor. They cornered him again trying to pet him so I thought I better lay on the floor with them so Smokey won't get too skittish. He finally backed away from them and ran down the hall with the kids hot on his heels. *lol* Since they couldn't get any of the cats to stay, they decided that THEY were going to be cats, crawling on the floor and meowing O____O
Being around these 2 kids for two days had me thinking this:
To all you mothers out there(including mine since I can't imagine what it was like raising me *hehehehe), I commend you!!! How you do it, how you put up with everything little kids do, is beyond me but you have more patience than I do. Which is why you have the kids and I don't.
And ppl still want to know why I don't want kids??!!! *falls over in a fit of laughter*
No......just....no.
Oh yeah, I finally tried out one of the Beck's beer Fri afternoon (needed it after being around those kids). Its not overly bad, still has that weird imported taste and I'm sure if I were more of a beer drinker, it wouldn't be so bad but still has that odd after taste. I have a feeling that beer will take a few months to finish off. Though if I had a choice between a Heineken or a BECK, I'd take BECK any day. Heine is just *shudders* so gross!!
~*~*
I can't wait to actually start this Gungrave Brandon and Bunji friendship fic. The idea running in my head sounds so good, I just hope it co-operates with me with the actual writing part.
Awwwwww.....Inane's trans for Naruto 240 is out. Poor Kakashi. But my love for Yondy grows more and more. Funny how the girl on the team (what is her name?) is a healer just like what Sakura's going to be.
Since I didn't have the energy to do so on Thurs, Saturday evening I need to start fluffing out the tree so we can get it decorated. And seeing what I'll be doing regarding "fluffing" makes me think of nasty porn things, if you don't know what a "fluffer" is, ask and I shall tell you.

Can't wait for the relatives to come down Saturday, and see what sort of questions pop up. Especially with my cousin's kids crawling around.
Been meaning to ask you, what's Gungrave about? Have heard about it, but never seen any of it, and I've been looking for more fandoms to sell my soul to :)
Happy Thanksgiving!

*falls over laughing* Too cute.
Good luck come Sat. regarding being bombarded by "those" questions.
Thank god my hubby's aunt and uncle took the hint and quit asking. It was actually pissing me off.
Hmm....regarding Gungrave, trying to put it into words. First it was created by Trigun's creator Yasuhiro Nightow (not sure if you seen anything of Trignu) so it kinda has that somewhat "Trigun"ish feel to it music, characters, what have you. I swear to god Bunji and Wolfwood could pass for brothers (except Wolfwood would be the nicer of the sibling *lol*)
Storyline deals with the Mafia: a syndicate called Millennion. Lots of shooting, manipulating, greed, lots of deaths, zombies, kick ass hot dead guy (aka Grave) *snickers*, more creepy zombie creatures etc. The relationships with the characters of friendship and/or love is like an emotional roller coaster. Its not a very uplifting series but really good. I'm not sure how emotional you get when watching things or if something really gets to you but I'll just say to keep some tissues near by.
Let me know if you think that you'll have some time soon to watch any dvds and I can let you borrow my 1st two dvds (I'd let you borrow #3 as well but I only got to watch it once) when I send out your X-mas card. I'd burn the series for you for the compy but I don't have enough cds, hence the dvd thing. Plus by hearing it dubbed, its really not that bad. (though the dub of Brandon could speak up a bit more instead of whispering).
See if this link works (I'm at work so I can't tell if that takes me to all my folders or not) http://photobucket.com/albums/v75/becksama/ and if it does, I have a few GG screen captures from early on in the series to the near end & ending, if you want to see what the animation and such looks like.
If that link doesn't take you to the main area of my folders, just use this: http://photobucket.com/albums/v75/becksama/Gungrave%20screencaps/Episode%205/ an click on the area that says "becksama", that should take you to the main folder page.
And if you either have a PS2 or know of someone that does, I'd recommend renting (if at all possible) or just try out the Gungrave and Gungrave Overdose games.
So, yeah just let me know yay or nay on the dvds.
Hope you had a nice holiday as well!
