Bubba told me about this earlier last night and I decided to check out the full article. Yes, it is good that the gunman was killed but it would've been nice to know as to why he did this. But I'm sure that it would've only been a nut-job case and no one in their right mind. Now I can see ALL nightclubs and such venues to be checking ppl very throughly at the door. My other question is, where was the security on and around the stage that this happened???!! All concerts I've gone to whether it be clubs or big venues, there is security EVERYWHERE! But as I check around, it would seem that perhaps this guy was pissed at Dimebag since Dimebag seemed to have been the main target.

Dimebag Darrell gunned down on stage

~*~*~

I knew that bubba would've been too tired yesterday morning to do anything regarding lights or the baking. So while I was sleeping, he shocked me by already making two batches of the cookie dough. For some reason, the one batch didn't have the same texture as the other so he's not sure if he might have forgotten something or what. But since I wasn't around, I couldn't babysit what he was doing *lol* Pending on how it looks this morning, we'll either use it or not. If not, perhaps I can just make reg. sugar cookies from it.

I was trying to tell bubba about different ways to work with the dough like you told me [livejournal.com profile] okaasan59 and like with most men, they tend to ignore what you say till the way they do it, doesn't work. The waxpaper worked well with the rolling pin and since we are going to work on the main baking this morning, I'll TRY to talk him into using the paper on the counter as well instead of making a mess with the flour. This is bubba's thing, I get to sit back and see what becomes of it MUAHAHAHAHAHA! Though I think I'll bake some more c.chip cookies, they came out really good but never got to eat too many since we were giving them out.

I also FINALLY found the right size small boxes at work I needed for some peeps X-mas goodies so hopefully I can either mail them out Sat or early Monday. Then I'll have it alllllllllllllllllllllll done for the year!!

Oh thanx to those who I got cards from already:

[livejournal.com profile] seidoo_ryuu I couldn't stop laughing at the card, yours and Mandy's cracked me up. One of these days when I sign onto AIM and your on, you'll have to buzz me about the titles.

[livejournal.com profile] nightambre awwwww! Too cute! *pets*

[livejournal.com profile] okaasan59 a true cajun who sends you seasoning packets in with your X-mas cards. *snickers* Still a cute card.

And to end it,

You got that right fat cat!

Dude, I saw your first post and tried to reply to that, but it said it was gone. I was so confused. T_T *lol*

Anyway, here is the original comment:

That is just crazy and scary considering my boyfriend plays in a band and goes to small venues all the time. Even if they don't have a big name attached to them you never know what a nutjob will do. You'd think there would be some type of security, but smaller clubs really aren't prepared for something like that.

Men and baking. I'd have a heart attack if I saw Terry trying something like that. ^_^

Yeah, I heard about Dimebag Darrell this morning on my ride in to work, and was sad. And so is Dan. Actually, he's been more of a fan in the past than I, but I liked them. Just never really "got into" them.

It's a scary world out there. :(

*grins* I'm glad the card gave you a good giggle! I like picking out cards that make people smile; sometimes, that means so much more during this season.

As for that Garfield...I saw that today when I was reading the paper on my lunch break, and IMMEDIATELY thought of you! I was going to clip it for you, but I know you read it daily online and probably already had it...and sure enough, here it is. ^^
