Last week we stopped at the mall which seemed like forever since we've been there (which doesn't bother me at all, I didn't lose anything there). Bubba wanted to get a chainsaw at Sears that was on sale and before we did that, I told him I wanted to stop at the bookstore, no questions asked.....shocking! So we did and I found a calendar for this yr and just what I wanted, a very cute and silly Spongebob that was 50% off. I gotta find a way to take the pics of each month, just too damn cute and it makes me giggle everytime I look at it. I then made my way to the manga section, sadly I didn't see any GTO but I was able to snag Trigun Maximum 1&2.
Looking at the prices, I now know why I stick to buying online. That shit is so expensive at the store O______O plus add on the 8.5% (I think thats what it is) sales tax here and I'm paying out the ass whereas I could've gotten the books for much cheaper online PLUS no sales tax and still pay very little shipping. Thats the last time I'm buying books at a bookstore.
We then stopped at Spencers Gifts. That store went down the shitter. Its not like the Spencers I use to know and love. The store is now too gothy and way dark. I saw these Beatle figures I wouldn't mind having, though they only had Paul and George. They also had this neat tin that had the Ramones on it and was a candle inside. I was also shocked at the dolls that are based on rock bands. There was a bunch of Metallica stuff, of course tons of KISS goods, but the thing that was the kicker was this Motley Crue set from Shout at the Devil era. I was impressed though Vince didn't look like Vince and the others were okay looking. They also have this Jack Sparrow doll that talks, which I found out that mom got it for my older sis for X-mas (lucky wench). Though I still want the talking Ash doll from Evil Dead, that was badass when I saw it like 2 yrs ago.
When we went to leave Spencers, right in the entrance they had this dog and a monkey (whichever you want to chose from). You pressed its hand and it would hump whatever or wherever you wanted to place it. Hence why the monkey is called Spanky the Monkey. Bubba got a kick out of it and said about buying it *rollseyes*. Thank god we didn't, I'd be afraid just what Bubba would've done to that monkey *snickers*.
After we did our shopping, we went to PetSmart to see if they had the cat food we buy in stock. Of COURSE they never do so we were in a bind as to what we should do regarding their food. We've been feeding them 9Lives super supper and since Sam has a sensitive belly regarding fish flavored food, we stick to the kind that is only beef, chicken, or turkey based flavor. And it just so happens that the kind we buy, only comes in small bags and they never have it in stock yet they have TONS of the seafood kind handy AND in huge bags. So the one employee was asking us about the cats, ages, weight, etc. He was pretty informative regarding what is good and what isn't for your cat when it comes to ingredients in the food. And going by what he said, what we've been feeding them, no wonder Sam is so fat. So we bought a small bag of the food he rec'ed to us and since I still have half a bag left of 9Lives, he said to just mix the two together so it gives the cats a chance to get use to the new stuff. The brand we will stick to buying now, the cats seem to like it okay. In fact, when I go to feed them in the morning, there's barely any food left in their dish whereas when I was just feeding them the reg. stuff, they still had a few bit left. The ingredients in 9Lives has alot of filler in it which isn't good.

We got the DSL hooked up and working on the compys, though till it breaks itself in, it kinda irks me at times. Have to see just how much better it might be while downloading compared to when we had cable.
The cable guy came and took the boxes for the tvs so we are cableless till SBC comes over sometime Sunday to hook up the satellite. Its weird not watching certain shows that I have on just for background noise. Having this time of less distractions, I might just push myself to call my friend in PA like I've been wanting to. Though I actually don't like talking on the phone all that much anymore *sighs*. Plus I'd like to call my neighbor back home like I told her I would in my X-mas card.

Bubba FINALLY did something about the missing scanner cord. I had no idea that he went to Radio Shack to buy what he needed for it, only to tell me the bad news last night. He burnt it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!??? He was trying to explain it to me what he did wrong, which didn't make any sense to me, and now we have to get a new scanner when we have the money. >_____________________< And this time, when we do, it better work a helluva lot better than the one we had. I didn't like the way it scanned things.

I feel kinda bad, I haven't been watching much anime thats been coming out. I haven't watched Naruto since eps. 109, haven't read much of the manga since right before Obito kicks the bucket. The only series I have been watching is BECK, reading new chapters as they come out of Gantz manga, and thats about it. I'm a bit behind on Tactics, Ganku, Gantz, Naruto, Ebichu & Meine. I guess I'm trying to focus on my writing right now and not to have too many distractions, same goes with chatting on AIM. I haven't signed on that for like almost a month. Plus I haven't been taking my laptop with me to work so I have less of a distraction of that too.
This past evening was ungodly slow for a Fri night. I took a little cat nap, read a fic or two, and wasted time on nothing. Whereas I could've used half of that time on adding more to my smut fic, though I was impressed on how much I had written and thats just for the beginning of the fic. I haven't written smut in so long, I feel kinda rusty but as I go along, its slowly coming back to me. *hugs smut* Besides, I need to get back on track with it, especially if I'm going to be writing GTO smut soon!
Thank god its soon time to go home.

And cable is faster than dsl. There really isn't a huge difference and you might only notice it at first. I did when I went from cable to dsl, but the downloads are still pretty fast.
