Half time Show

This has probably been the best of the half time shows that I can recall. No pop/whiny/fake bullshit singers,dancers/clothing malfunctions that we will never hear the end of *snerks*.

You still ROCK Sir Paul!

Actually a clothing malfunction on Sir Paul would have been a very scary thing! But good show. And a lot cheaper than tickets would have cost like when he was touring a year or so ago.

Oh god, ain't that the truth.

Yeah I thinkg when he came here to Dallas that a tix was around $56 and that was probably for the lame seats. I wanted to go see him at the time but couldn't. I would like to see him before he croaks. I know Ringo comes around alot to Billy Bob's (I think its like a steakhouse, bar, country western place).

you are right! it was awesome. the way a half time show should be! yes Sir Paul rocks!! and if he had been any where near our area i would have paid for tickets but alas most big stars don't come up here.

I could be content if they had their half time shows like that now in the future, though I think this one was a rare one.

I too would like to see him perform but those tix prices at the time were ridiculious. I can imagine you don't get too many acts where you live. I know it was a pain in the ass when I was living in PA cause sure we have certain venues at Hershey but sometimes the good acts don't play there. They will either go to Philly or DC/Baltimore which is still a drive compared to Hershey.

i don't mind paying high prices for concert tix but the eagles and billy joel were 125 each ... we didn't see them.. they were in ames ... we paid 89 ( each) for areosmith tix and well it was worth it.

I wanted to be one of the audience there. I wanted to wave that light and rock my cold buns to his music. Instead, I rocked at my nice warm home, singing along to 'Hey, Jude' (which is my mom's fave). Better than last year. And frankly, I think this is one of the best Super Bowl half-time I've ever seen thus far. Sir Paul ROCKS!!!!

Yeah it would've been neat to have been one of the lucky ones to have gotten to stand out in the crowd.

*snickers* Me too though I was singing along with just about all the songs and bopping around to Drive My Car (one of my fav Beatle albums was Rubber Soul).

I have a feeling that this was only a tease regarding half time shows. It would be nice if they all could be this mellow and nothing glamorous but sadly, I hate to see what next yr holds and the future acts. It what I always hated about the Super Bowl, it seems like its not so focused on the game but all the frivolous frou frou regarding half time. This yr didn't seem so bad in that area either. Last yr had me just rolling my eyes at the shows and the commericals.

Sometimes SB hits it well, sometimes they don't. Last yr I was like...wha? I would have thought MTV would have done a good job, but I felt lackluster at their attempts (and I won't mention what happened THAT time either; old already). Now the next one, the 40th, will be in Michigan (ahem). I'm not sure what entertainment it will be, but I sure hope it is good. I don't want to be categorized as a bad half-time yr. Makes my state lks bad (in my eyes).

Hey, did you watch American Dad after the Super Bowl. Great half-time show I agree.

[identity profile] yankeerose69.livejournal.com 2005-02-08 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Actually I didn't. I changed the channel after the game was over, didn't feel like sitting through all that "after game" crap just for them to get on with the shows. I heard that they are going to be showing it on Adult Swim. I also had to laugh at the comments on the AS community on LJ. Ppl were dogging it out so bad just cause it reminds them too much of FG or certain parts were just lame.

Sorry if I already asked you this (I can't remember who all I asked), but did you finish GGOD with Jyuji? Cause I'm trying to see what his conversation to Bunji was when it was his turn to fight him. Jyuji frustrates me so much, I get too pissed off to try and finish the game with him (only cause I can't get very far with him).

I liked the show, of course its going to resemble Family Guy being created by the same team, but it was still really funny to me.

I've been working on it but been very busy. If you want I can set aside time to work on it and let you know, hopefully before anyone else does lol :)

Sure, that'd be good. Just let me know whenever you do get that far. I only know like 2 ppl that did play with him but they can't recall what was said.
