For those that don't know, Naruto is NOW licensed. No lie this time.

I don't really see these groups dropping it from subbing it, I mean come the fuck on! Inuyasha was still being subbed even after it was licensed. And if these groups DO happen to stop, well, I'll be flabbergasted. Which also doesn't make sense, if they can still be translating the recent manga chapters and VIZ had the license for that for how long now and no one has put their foot down?

Thats what ya gotta love about fandoms, especially those reared up on the subs. I've been through this with Wolf's Rain (but only cause they were acting strict with the releases when news got out that it was picked up and we were so close to the end) & FMA. I'm ust glad that the other fandoms I'm in, the series is already done with so I don't have to hear the pissin and moanin.

This always makes me think of Gungrave. It was a series that didn't get much publicity even when it first aired in Japan AND Geneon already had bought the rights to it not long after it first aired in Japan. Yet the subbers kept up on getting the subs out cause they felt it was something that not only was a good series, but to get it out there to the masses which still didn't seem to work and I didn't see anyone complaining about what they were doing, not even from the higher ups in Geneon.

Instead of repeating what I wrote earlier, just check the comment I wrote back to babaca regarding my feelings about it all whenever the dvd comes out.

Yeah, but VIZ is renown for only putting 3 episodes per dvd... So given we just had 121... that would be about 40 dvds. O.O

By the way, I got your dvds today, I've made the copies and it will all go back in the mail tomorrow.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! I forgot all about that *doh!* Well I'm a fan of Naruto but I don't see me jumping up and snatching it once it does hit the shelves. I have to see a few eps dubbed first before I make my choice later. Just like FMA, I like it but I'm not rushing to buy it since if it holds true, Funi is releasing it as a 3 boxsets >__<. (though I am rather fond of the metal tin) I'd rather use my money for other things first before wasting it on on dvd with 3 eps.

Thank god you got it. I sent everyones packages out at the same time last Tues; two local and the rest went out of state. Dove still didn't get her package yet and I don't get what is up with that. I don't know if the PO has a grudge against me or what. It shouldn't take over a week to get something that within the US.

Cause I mean, how do you explain it when you have a situation say like Gungrave? Geneon already bought the license to it before it was even finished airing on Japan tv yet the subbers kept with it.

Anime Suki is stating at the moment that ShopPro is a middle man to VIZ and that it isn't considered 'licensed' till an actual announcement is stated.

I hate Viz...at least Funi puts 5 eps per disk. ((plus I know people who work there)) -_-;;;

My thing is then, why spout off a bunch of nonsense TILL the actual word comes down?? God, shit like this just pisses me off more and more, aside from the ASSHATS on chuunin who make post after post about it being picked up. Like we fucking didn't know it already?! This is one of the reasons why I wish it was possible to reach through the monitor and strangle ppl like that.

I can't imagine how quick that place has been wanked since yesterday. Almost reminds me of the whining and crying when word got out about FMA.

I like Naruto and all and just like with FMA, I'm not buying the dvds. I'd rather save my money up for when they come out with full boxsets, that way I know my money isn't going to waste on just 3 fucking eps.

I'm too pissed on how Inu Yasha ended to buy the DVD's. Might buy the movies, but then sometimes that can be drull. Just hope that licensing Naruto don't mean end in sight...grrr
Ugh, tired of whiny fankiddies. It got licensed, so? There is nothing we can do about it but enjoy the fact that maybe they will come out with cool merchandise and the damn movie. :D I guess it will all boil down to how Viz treats it- as a kiddie show or as an action anime.
