Yeah, so this entry will be ALOT of stuff cause, well, it just is :p

Happy!happy!bouncy!bouncy! news #2 is the Tenjou Tenge dvd (finally or so it seems) release date June 7th. Actually, when you go to look for it online to buy the dvd, they are spelling it Tenjho, I seen it spelled different ways so *shrugs*.

Extras that come with the dvd box:

Limited edition Mini-Pencil Board and a Tenjho Tenge Mini-Comic from CMX (while supplies last).

Feh! I hate to see what the mini-comic is about, I don't want anything to do with CMX when it comes to this series so I should send it back to them saying that they can keep it along with my copy of the 1st manga.

I gathered all the dvd covers that were issued in Japan. LOVE the covers but I have a feeling we might not get all of them. That would only happen if the US releases are 3 eps per disc and I really hope that isn't going to be the case, I despise long series and only treated to 2-3 eps a dvd.

So Here are the covers and the last two pics is the front and back cover from the OVA. My fav of the dvd covers is of course #6 with Bunshichi *licks abs*, the only thing that throws it off is they put too much bling-bling on him and that seems a bit OC to see him wearing. Though its neat/fitting that Isuzu is in the background image with him ^_~.

Now onto the dub casting and thoughts under the cut tag

Souichiro Nagi - Steve Cannon
Credits - Gungrave as Jolice, Gundam 08th MSTeam as Shiro Amada, Outlaw Star as Harry McDougall, Scrapped Princess as Christopher
(EEEEEEEHHH!!! Not quite sure how Nagi is going to sound. In some ways he'd be fitting for Nagi's voice but I'm not quite sure if I ever heard Steve's voice when a character is pissed or spazzing out since Nagi will be doing alot of that. Only thing I can do is cross my fingers that he sounds good)

Bob Mikihara - Taylor Henry
Credits - not many listed
(Well this ranks up there with how I feel when dub VA's do a character that Shinichiro Miki has voiced its going to have to take alot of convincing of the dub VA to please me *laughs* I can only hope this guy can do a good rough & tough black guy)

Chiaki Kounoke - (Bob's girlfriend for those that didn't know) Julie Anne Taylor
Credits - Last Exile as Sophia Forrester
(Not bad from what I heard in LE so I give it a go)

Masataka Takayanagi - Kevin Hatcher
Credits - not many listed
(Not sure, is this a good thing or no when a VA is kinda unheard of?)

Mitsuomi Takayanagi - Kurt Strauss
Credits - not many listed
(>_____<)

Aya Natsume - Tiffany Hsieh
Credits - hardly ANY listed
(I see a pattern going on here and the only thing I can say is, the dub better grab me by the first volume or it seems like I'll have to be reverting to the sub side of things)

Maya Natsume - Wendee Lee
Credits - Cowboy Bebop as Faye, Great Teacher Onizuka as Anko Uehara, Azusa Fuyutsuki, Miyabi Aizawa,Mrs. Sakurai, Tadashi Sakurada. Outlaw Star as Twilight Suzuka, WHR as Miho Karasuma
(WOW! Finally someone that is noticeable, she seems fitting for Maya's role, knowing how Maya is.)

Bunshichi Tawara - Kirk Thornton
Credits - Gungrave as Brandon/Grave, Cyborg 009 as Jet Link/Cyborg 002
(*wibbles* I'm REALLY REALLY scared!!! Reason being, aside from being a Bunshichi fangirl, is that the seiyuu Kazuki Yao makes Buns character. Has that deep sexy yet smoker's voice along with Buns being a perverted smartass. Something I'm not sure I can picture Kirk being. There is always a first for everything but I'm still very very paranoid.)

Emi Isuzu - Kate Davis
Credits - Great Teacher Onizuka as Chikako Shirai & Mayuko Asano. Other than that, there isn't much in her listing.

Tsutomu Ryuzaki - Derek Stephen Prince
Credits - Cyborg 009 as Joe Shimamura/Cyborg 009 (only in eps 5 & 9 since I noticed they did change Joe's voice) & Dr. Gaia, Trigun as Zazie the Beast, and a good bit of Digimon stuff.

Kouji Sagara - Lex Lang
Credits - Gungrave as Bunji Kugashira, Kenshin as Sanosuke, Gundam 08th MSTeam as Ginias Sahalin
(I can't remember who that character is. Anyone? Hmmmmmmm....now that I was refreshed on who he is, I can kinda see Lex doing that character but he's going to have to be one big burly sounding guy)

Overall thoughts:

When I see a VA that doesn't have much under their belt, it makes me paranoid and I blame the dub of Weiss Kreuz (aka Knight Hunters) for that *shudders*. I know its only fair to give these ppl a chance and perhaps we have high expectations for VA's in general but still. I also know that nothing is set in stone with just the first dvd but if something doesn't grab me, it usually won't later. I look forward to hearing the dub without wanting to have to resort to watching the sub version so we'll see when that time comes.

I wonder how they are going to handle some of the dialog for the dub meaning harsh curse words and Bunshichi commenting on Aya and Chiaki regarding their "tits" as he would put it. Will they actually use the word tits or do you think they will water it down by saying boobs, breasts, knockers, or chest?

NIN stuff:

All I can say is, is it May 3rd YET!!!??? I see that they were airing a commerical for the new cd Sunday night during Adult Swim's block and nearly plastered my face to the screen. My god Trent honey!!!! I think you are hotter than you were in your younger days and.....and....those arms!! Looks like someone's been working out a little. *nibbles on biceps and clings to arms*

Releases and woes:

*sighs* There is just too much stuff coming out as of late or within the same month that I can not keep up or afford. I also hate the fact that it seems like I never have money to get something I want without feeling as if I have to get a 2nd job. I don't know whats weighing me down, the anime dvd obsession or manga. What few manga titles I have been collecting, I still can't keep up with them. Well I do have a bday coming up in 4 months so maybe I can catch up on a few things during that time.

May just happens to be a month where EVERYTHING I want/collect is coming out. Here is a small list of what is coming out:

- Scrapped Princess (even though its an April date, it still ranks up there with something I'd like to get and its still close to the May releases of stuff)

- NIN's new cd on the 3rd

- Gungrave dvd #6 May 17

- Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu dvd, May 10th

*pulls hair and wants to cry* WHY WHY WHY do they do this to us for??!!! I think they do it on purpose, I can never understand how anyone can afford half the stuff that does come out without having to sacrifice eating or paying bills. The sacrifices I'll have to look into making are:

Hold off on getting FMP! even though its a smaller set to buy, might just have to wait till the full boxset comes out.

The only good thing: Gungrave has one more disc to come out in July and that series will be completed for the dvds which will leave it open for other series I want to get. So either TenTen or SP will be taking that slot (well both actually since I'll be concentrating on getting those dvds when they come out.)

I also need to get off my lazy ass and get everything typed out and uploaded with stuff I need to sell. Have to come up with at least half of the money for the cat to go to the vet cause we sure as hell can't come up with $300 in our own pockets and I really REALLY don't want to put it off anymore than I have to on him having to get the work that he needs done, especially for his age. My kitty will have to come first before much of my anime goods so at least the money will be going for a good cause. Could someone please tell me why vets don't have payment plans? We don't and aren't going to get the pet insurance so thats out of the question. If the vet would only do payment plan, it wouldn't so much of a burden for us to take the cat to the vet. *sighs*

Done ranting for the day.

You don't remember Kouji Sagara? That's Saga Mask! ^_^

And for the covers, I love Rounds 2 and 7. Yummy, yummy fanservice. Considering what CMX did to TenTen, though, I can imagine that Geneon would change covers to match. This makes me quite sad.

DOH! How could I forget Saga Mask ^^;;

Well so far so good, the cover for the 2nd dvd is already listed and Aya still looks the same as the original version.

I hope that they don't go and censor the other cover, that would royally suck.

Well, that's a good sign, at least. Geneon's also the company bringing us the Ikki Tousen DVDs (which I need to pick up, as I do so enjoy the Battle Vixens/Ikki Tousen manga), so maybe they won't get all censoriffic.
