If my weekends keep up like they have been as of late, its going to drive me bonkers. They tire me out so much that it takes all of Monday just to try and re-coop.
Got my dvds (Gungrave 6 and Boondock Saints) in the mail on Sat. and tried watching Boondock Sat night which was a bit hard to do. We spent the majority of Sat night sitting at the kitchen table and counting out $497 in change (all 4 kinds) and whatever they collected of $ bills. The fire dept that bubba takes part in, their Explorers (the teen's that want to learn the ropes) had their 'Fill The Boot' going on Sat morning and since bubba and the other guy are the main peeps who teach these kids, he was in charge of the money and making sure things were tallied up. By doing this, I got to see some coins I never seen before such as the new nickels. Has anyone gotten a hold of any yet? I did a post about it awhile back when the news came out. I find them pretty neat, especially for the dimensional affect of the side of Jefferson's profile as well as the different background pics (I think there were 4 different ones).
I had the wonderful task of having to trudge a roller suitcase full of containers of coins and such on Monday. Thank god the bank wasn't busy near lunch time.
For Sunday:
If anything, Sunday was the day that done me in. Late morning/early afternoon, we spent time on laying down a new caulk seal around the pool & hot tub and it was already starting to get pretty hot at that time. So much so that since bubba had to wear rubber gloves when dealing with the mixture, that all he had to do was lift his hands up and the sweat would just POUR out of his gloves, talk about gross. (then again it never takes him much to be sweating his ass off anyways). Looked forward to when we were done with that and chill out in the pool while getting sunburnt in the process. >___< Later ate dinner, bubba then got called out for an accident and I thought that would've been a good time to get a small nap in.....fat chance. Bubba then came home and said that Kevin and his family were coming over to swim so I went back out in the pool and I'm sure got more sun (though the sun was starting to slowly set) and before Kevin left, the neighbor's were having a cookout for her bro's visit and came over from time to time to swim (its there to use, might as well use it) so I spent even more time in the pool.
The neighbor brought me over two 24oz cans of Bud Light since they had alot of beer to get rid of. *blech* Now I know why I hardly drink beer anymore #1. I don't overly care for the taste & #2. makes me feel like shit even if I just drink ONE. I'll stick to liquor thank you.
Bubba and I stayed out in the pool a little longer once everyone left around 10pm. He was relaxing/dozing off in the hot tub and I was floating around in the pool since the water was still luke warm, while waiting and watching the full moon rise. That didn't last too long since I was getting chilly, my head hurt, my eyes were dry, my ears water logged (I hate that feeling), horrible cotton mouth from the beer, and I wanted to get the icky chlorine smell off of me. It didn't take much to fall asleep for a change and STAY asleep though this time it was bubba that kept waking up all hrs of the night regardless if he was dead tired.
I ACTUALLY slept in till around 8:30am on Mon aside from getting up earlier to feed the cats and went back to bed. That is unheard of for me to do but I guess I was trying to make up for lack of sleep last week as well. Mon's are usually reserved to do house cleaning but I hardly got much done this time. I make sure though that the laundry/kitty room, kitchen, and living room are vacuumed; its just the rooms down the hall that I procrastinate on. Its pretty sad that it can take more than one day just to vacuum. (I'm lazy and get distracted easily *lol*) same goes for putting laundry away as well.
This week is going to be a short but busy one. Today I'm attending a retirement luncheon with bubba and the ppl he works with, at Aija. Oooh....I just read the email he sent me with the link so I know what their lunch is like and its a buffet...weeeeee!!! SUSHISUSHISUSHI!! *twirls* Though I can picture bubba complaining that they don't have much for him to choose from (damn picky eater). So that will throw my sleeping off but I'm going to have to make sure I get up in time for LOST even though I plan on recording it, I want to actually see it for myself when it airs.
Fri I'm taking off work to attend my bad niece's graduation. I hate going to these things, hell, I hated sitting through mine. BUT the only good thing with my class is that give or take was around 150-230 students. The last two recent graduations we went to in '00 and '04 was soooooooooooooooooo long and too many kids.
Sat is the fish fry at the other fire dept that bubba use to be in before we moved since he still likes to help out there when we are in the area. And I'm sure I'm going to shock a few that day since this will be my first time on helping in the kitchen. When we use to live in that area, I either had to work on that weekend or just didn't want to cause I wasn't involved with it. So I'll be nice this time *lol*.
Have no clue what Sun and Mon holds for us aside from me having to come into work for a little Mon morning. What a waste of gas and time and I bet that I won't print hardly anything out. The only slight advantage is getting the extra holiday pay but its not going to be worth it since I doubt I'll see much of it on my check. An hr's worth of time still doesn't amount to much.
We have 17 days till our trip and I'm STILL not done clothes shopping, hell, I never actually went the last time I complained. *sighs* It needs to be done so I'm going to have to push myself next Tues morning or the 1st weekend in June. I also need to make an appt to get my hair done and check online for any other excursions bubba said I might want to go on since we already got one booked. Will elaborate more on that when the day nears.
*cries* Where in the hell did this month go???!!!! I know June will probably be fast paced since thats how it usually goes when your on a weeks vacation.

And since I KNOW I have forgotten quite a few birthdays on my flist, I'll just wish you all a Happy Birthday/belated bday. *big bear hugs all around and slobbery kisses*

So shall the summer go for me. If I can plan it right, I'll have two weeks w/o the kids as they'll be one week w/their father and one w/their mom. I'll have a week in Texas visiting my Mamma (unless I opt out for CA instead.... hmmm... always a consideration).... then a few days if I can make it to Boston, a few days if my Rasha comes over and then AFEST which brings my summer to an end. *giggles madly*
Where did the month go.... I believe if you look behind you, you'll see that it slipped by w/o cause for alarm but is quickly pushing and propelling you forward into what is to come!!! muwaa haa haa....
When are you coming up to PA??? Maybe we can get together half way or I can take a mini vacation down there!!! *giggles madly*

Yeah, pushing me to get older, thats what time is trying to do :P
Early Sept, either the 2nd week or so regarding to going to PA. That'd be cool to be able to see you even though I know I won't be able to make the trip to NY.
And before I forget, you are already added in as a mod for my gungrave comm. Since I'll be away till sometime on Sunday, I'm just giving you a heads up (even though nothing will be going on but I thought I'd inform you anyways).
