Birfaday shout out and dental stuff

Sheesh, goes to show how quick these months have been going by when it just felt like you had a birthday wickedchild_md. I know your not up for celebrating and junk but I hope you still have a good day and are treated to something nice *big hugs*

Had a dental cleaning this morning. I hate going for these things, every time they scrape at my teeth, it just reminds me of nails going across a chalk board.

Then the way they like to dig around the gums and THEN get on my case about why my gums are bleeding >___<. The assistant was trying to think of different things that could perhaps make them do that but for as long as I can recall, my gums would slightly bleed just by brushing my teeth when I was younger. Even mom's does that too. And in the areas that they bleed in has nothing to do with flossing either.

And JUST when I thought everything was good to go, when the dentist came in to check everything, she found yet, another problem. One of my back lower fillings has a small crack in it and have to get that done after I get back from vacation. Have to have it done when I can or bacteria can get in it and cause the tooth to decay. *sighs*

I swear to god, it would just be better to have all my teeth pulled, would save the time and money in the long run.


And now I'm still trying to figure out why I'm wide awake when I should still be sleeping.

Good luck with the dental thing. I wonder sometimes, with the cost of dental work, if dentures wouldn't be the way to go. Hopefully I have many years before I have to consider that.

My hubby agrees too. We put in nearly $2,000 with the recent dental work on just ME since the beginning of the yr. (that was one root canal on one side of the mouth and had to get two caps side by side on the other side of my mouth)

I broke the news to him today about having to go back in after vacation and told him why. He nearly had a shit fit but its nothing I can do about it. He first thought that the filling that is cracked was put in by them but it was a filling that I had done when I was still in the Army.

My middle sis is 33 and about two yrs ago, she had to get fitted for dentures. Though the reason why her teeth went bad was #1. she's diabetic & #2. she never really took care of her teeth with brushing and such (hence why she is like a spitting image of our dad).


Glad you like the icon. My friend awhile back gave me a list of what she would like to have for screencaps of Onizuka so she could make icons and was telling me of an interesting idea she wanted to do with his near nakedness. I was laughing my ass off at the outcome of the icon.

Have you tried dipping your tooth brush into Listerine, & brushing the gum area everyday for like 2wks? Then see if the bleeding stops or not. If it stops, then try just brushing the gum area w/Listerine twice a week afterwards, & see if that helps. If not... dont know what to tell ya... =\
