I don't want to jinx myself by bringing it up but I had a few that wanted me to keep them informed on how Sam was doing regarding the puking and such. I'll put it behind the cut.

It's been two weeks since he miraculously quit puking. I went back to the vet on the 13th just to try and understand what could be wrong with him and what that black splotch on his x-ray was. The small foreign object that shows in the x-ray is located in his pancreas which seems like that has nothing to do with the digesting of the food or why he's been puking. He said until they do exploratory surgery, Sam could have something else in him that isn't showing up in the x-ray, blood & pee samples. For example, he was telling me about how his retriever one yr ate one of those small golf towels and didn't know about it till they had to cut her open. The dog didn't look so good to him the day after it happened and he thought that it was just a slight cold she had. They did some sort of test and when whatever it was was still in her stomach (I guess it was supposed to go through her system), its when they cut her open and saw that she had eaten that towel. The towel didn't even register on the x-rays. And cause of that, it already irrupted her intestine to where they had to do a good bit of work on her. He said that animals can pick something off the floor or wherever could it be string, paper, etc. it will not show on the x-ray.

So in this case, perhaps Sam did eat something he wasn't supposed to but the only thing we are trying to figure out, just what it could've been. Before we went on vacation, we cleaned the house so it was free of debris.

Before the vet came in to see me to discuss things, it really took all I had not to start crying over the situation even by thinking about it. I could tell my voice was a bit different during the times when I did have to say things back to the vet. Cause the last thing I wanted to do was to either put Sam down or find a no kill shelter that would take Sam in since we couldn't afford any more vet visits or the surgery.

The day before I went to see the vet, I did notice that Sam went nearly a whole day w/out puking and hoped that by the time bubba woke up in the morning, that he wouldn't find any either. So the vet was telling me that he could prescribe me some pills to see if maybe that could help but he said that it might not help the situation since it he really didn't have any signs of what was brought up. Since the two different pills only came out to $18, I told him I'd do it and would stop by the next morning to pick up the pills.

I go in the next day, got the pills, and found that I blew $20 all for nothing. Sam quit puking since that day I noticed he seemed to take a break from it but thought I'd rather be safe than sorry.

So right now, it seemed to have stopped and can only pray that it stays this way. I was so relieved on not seeing him sick all the time and me having to clean puke up everywhere I turned.

Thank you so much for all the help & info links [livejournal.com profile] puchuupoet, it helped put me at some sort of ease even though I knew I wouldn't be able to do much for him.

Bleach #42.....yummm.....Renji-ness hotness!! *wills the bed sheet to fall off his naked body*

Though I sure wished some subbing groups could whip out certain series they picked up too for the way Bleach is being treated.

And now for some more "Days of the lives of the sisterhood" *lol* As well as a new pic of my b-i-l with his new motorcycle.

I called my older sis yesterday morning to let her know I got her card. She started laughing saying how when she was looking at the funny cards, she came across it and just had to get it. Even picked it out a few days BEFORE my bday. I told her that by getting that card, gave her all the more reason to send it out late *lol*.

Then she told me she was taking the boys to go see the Chocolate Factory that afternoon so I told her I'd call her back and see what she thought.

Fast forward to last night when I called. We talked about how we liked it and different things about everything.

Then I go: "You know what I wished they would've used in the movie?"

Sis: "The boat song?"

Me: "Uhh...yeah, how did you know I was going to say that?"

Sis: "Great minds think alike. I liked that scene too in the original, thought it would've been cool for this movie."

I had to laugh at how she thought the original Oompa Loompa's were always creepy to her whereas this version wasn't as bad.

She was telling me about how well behaved the boys were too. Ethan (7) normally sits still when they go to the movies whereas Dylan (3) can still be pretty antsy. But this movie had Dylan's attention and the only time he moved was when he went to sit on my sis's lap. She said he's at that stage where if you laugh, he'll laugh too. This time before she even got to laugh, Dylan would laugh at the silly parts and said he got a kick out of Wonka running into the glass elevator.

And while I think of it, could SOMEONE PLEASE feed my brother-in-law some high fat food?? (he's the one sitting on his new bike)

Damn Brian looks skinnier every time I see a pic of him. For as long as I known him (almost 10yrs), he's always looked like that, he can never seem to put any meat on his bones.

To those that sent me emails or emails with links, I'll get back with you, just so no one gets their panties in a bunch.

And yes, by golly gee wiz damn it! I WILL post part 3 to our vacation to Cozumel by Monday along with pics. I feel so bad on making you guys wait to those that wanted pics or hear how it was. I need to get out of this lazy spell.

Thanx so much chickie! I hope it was only a faze.

Oh man, thats gotta suck in regards to your horse. I know there were times when we would have to shove this magnet down a cow's throat (it was shapped like the pills we gave them) and it would collect whatever metals might have been in the stomach. I was told that the magnet stays in there, you can't get it out (so whats the purpose of that or getting the metal out of their body if you can't extract it??!!) I don't even know how my dad knew if a cow might have had some sort of metal in them to begin with.

Not only could we not afford any more vet visits but there was no way I was going to shell out $500 to have him cut open for exploritory surgery. With his age, I just couldn't trust it and the thought of having him cut open like that didn't sit too well with me.

*many hugs back*
