Thoughts on Tenjho Tenge manga #87 raw

Keep in mind that Maya got her ass BEAT in chapter 85 & 86 and she tried to make it look like she had a come back once she slit the mohawk's dude arm in half (very gross) along with the help of Reiki. Near the end of 86, she calls Reiki to help her and even offers her body to be sacrificed in order for Reiki to lends its power.

Fast forward to #87, its a bit hard to make out what the image is but it looks like she cut the mohawk dude in half. I actually wonder if it really did kill him considering what his family was made up of.

It also looks like Maya might be dead *gigglesnort*. IF she survives after all of what happened, I will be pretty amazed. As I told wardove a long time ago, it really wouldn't surprise me if Oh!Great did kill off Maya BUT much later in the manga. Meaning I can see her giving up her life of some sort once Mitsoumi dies (kinda like what went on with Shin and nerdy girl). But to kill her off still so early, I just don't know.

Two more bad characters came into the picture in 87, I'm curious to see who they are.

The ending to 87 is just too predictable. As if Souhaku (Nagi's dad) would be that dumb to create an opening of getting hit and let Mitsoumi's move chop off his head. Some shit is going to go down when it comes to seeing what kind of evil deeds Souhaku will have up his sleeve. >:P

I haven't been keeping up with the manga, but if Maya (who still happens to be a favorite) does indeed die, she can always go have hot ghost sex with her brother. That's how I'm looking at it. *nods* Always trying to find the silver lining, that's me.

But I too agree that if Maya were to die it would have been later in the story. I suppose only time will tell though.

My god, you should've seen the outcry about Maya on the comm. You'd think it was the end of the fucking world or the series at that. Its funny you say that about Shin, she had Shin alot on her mind by the end and even before when the mohawk guy thought he killed her, she popped right back up screaming about how "I was kicked out of the river of Styx by my brother!"

I just wished that CMX didn't edit the fucking manga cause I would truly keep buying it cause I can grasp what goes on in a manga better in book form than by online translations. For one, the text and pics are much clearer in the book. The TenTen manga confuses me many a times only cause the translated text peeps can't seem to spell worth a damn or get their lines of text lined up right. And I don't think that by reading it a 1,000 times, I still don't think I'll ever grasp the majority of all the family bullshit. Half the time it makes my head spin.

Ah I did check out that link when you first posted it, I just didn't say anything because I'm dumb like that. And believe me I did squee first from just the Fulle/Pacifica colorbars and then the pictures (baby Pacifica and Shannon...*dies*).

I saw the first several comments on the comm and I think I hurt my head from hitting it on the desk. Number one, some of the people were just being stupidly immature and almost hateful that I basically decided to ignore the rest of the post except for your original comment because you're the only one with a brain (at that time at least) speaking.

When don't I mention Shin when it comes to TenTen? XD If Shin kicked her out of the river of Styx, then he obviously felt she had more fight in her and could possibly progress to a new level for herself. Again only time will tell if she did survive.

Totally in agreement on CMX. I bought the first volume when you mentioned it was ready for sale or pre-order and I was just shaking my head. But yeah, reading it in book form is better than scans. I think we just need to learn Japanese (I'm sure there's a pill for it somewhere) and buy the original copies. *nods*

Yeah I agree that the hate comments were uncalled for but in some ways, the same thing would've happened if it were Aya in Maya's place. Its bad enough Aya gets such a bad rap which doesn't make sense cause:

1. they both got big tits
2. BOTH can kick ass even though Aya has stronger powers
3. chicks
4. Aya has to push herself just as much as Maya did
5. Maya was just as much as a whiny brat as Aya was in the beginning

Right when Maya took off to fight the dude and she told Mits and Nagi to stand back and do not DARE step past the boundry she made since it was her fight, not their's. Mits was thinking of the same position Shin was in when she was getting her ass kicked in the school hallway and all Shin and Mits could do was stand back and watch. Mits was like "Is this what you felt Shin when watching her like this?" (or something close to it, I don't have it here with me at work).

I have a bunch of stuff to post to sell and I'm getting rid of my TenTen manga, I just couldn't bare to read past 3 pages it pissed me off.

I think we just need to learn Japanese (I'm sure there's a pill for it somewhere)

Without a doubt. I was sold on the pairing when 32 came out and I don't think I was caught up to the manga yet but when I did, my love for them grew 10 folds during the fight with Renji & Byakuya (which is probably my fav fight in the manga and can't wait to see it animated) and then the Saving Rukia bit. Wish me luck on this:
