Whoa, I wasn't expecting to read this this morning.

Pat Morita Dies at 73

~*~*~*~

This is what happens when you do not communicate with your employees to make sure they understand how things are handled. I was supposed to work this morning at B&BW, got there and nearly went "oh god, should I quit now?" I have no clue what time they opened but the place was packed inside. I saw the main manager there but was hard to get her attention till she finally went to the back room. When I asked her if I should clock in the back since the front was so busy, she was like "were you supposed to work today?" I told her yes and what my hrs were. So we checked the schedule and even though I had hrs listed, it had ( ) around my time. No one told me that when you see those brackets around your hrs, means you are on call only. I busted my ass to leave Tyler at 3am this morning to get home around 5 and have some time to myself before work only to find I didn't have to come in?

Well at least they know I'm the kind that shows up regardless. Plus with leaving as early as I did this morning prevented me from having to deal with the day traffic on the way home. And seeing how busy the store was, I'm grateful I didn't have to work though I DO work tomorrow morning.

*sighs*

Still have to work my reg. job tonight so I MIGHT be on AIM since I know its going to be a dead night.

My friend called me and broke that bad news. It's a shame that Pat Morita is gone. I loved Mr. Miyagi and he was funny on the Hughleys. *sniffles*

And that really sucks that you were at work and you didn't even have to be there.

I never thought that his main debut on tv was Happy Days. Still weird to this day to know he was on that show. Not sure if you seen much of M*A*S*H but there was this asian man who I could've sworn was Pat but it wasn't. (they sure as hell could've passed for brothers though).

Yeah, talk about a waste of gas.
