Well, I finally caved in. After chatting with wardove Sunday night and she talking about SC again, had me wanting to watch what few eps I recorded of the dub. I was also lucky enough to find some dl's of the complete series and at a decent speed so its not taking nearly as long to get the rest of the eps.

Watching the dub is too much like a combo of watching Gungrave and Bebop. Jin is Brandon's voice, Mugen is Spike, Fuu is Mika, the chick who was setup to kill Mugen in #2 was Faye (which sounds creepy hearing Faye trying to seduce Spike *lol*), and the fat fuck governor in the first two eps was Jet/Bear Walken (Gungrave for those that didn't know).

I only got as far as the 2nd eps but will at least catch up on watching some subs tonight. I think I also might drag guardianhunter down with me on this series since she was in the living room as she caught the 2nd half of the 1st eps and seemed to like it.

*dramatic sigh*

Second the above person's comments about sub Mugen's voice. David Lucas can't do the growls and the battle cries like the seiyuu can; he just doesn't sound unhinged feral enough. Mugen's a wild man; Lucas is composed.

Yeah, I'm not fond of David doing his voice. Just doesn't seem to fit the character. I couldn't stop laughing last night when I watched an eps of the sub cause Mugen's seiyuu is also Zoro from One Piece. Both characters are so fitting considering their attitudes and their sword play.

Funny you should bring that up. I was actually reading over it a couple weeks ago and realized I should get my ass in gear and finish it. Its near complete anyways so it shouldn't take too much to get it done. Maybe I can hope for a spring release, this yr that is. *lol*
