First off, I uploaded One Piece eps. 83 when Luffy was climbing the mountain that the art was based from that I posted the other day. I updated that entry with the link to the download here. I'm sure not many will download it but to those who do who might not have seen it before, let me know what you thought about the whole situation. *hands out tissues just in case*

GRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! For some strange odd reason, EVERYTHING we had recorded on our DVR was DELETED. We still had 30 some hrs left of free space. None of us touched it and we would know better than to mess with it when it comes to deleting anything on it, at least not touching each other's recordings. We don't know if it goes through a period of clearing itself out or what but bubba and I are not happy campers. It was a good thing I recorded the music stuff on Monday to dvd cause I think that would've hurt me more since some of those videos were rarities to ever be aired again (well I'm sure they will be but not when I'M actually watching it!). I never got the chance to see the rest of My Name Is Earl from two weeks ago and same goes for the past 2 weeks worth of Lost eps. Now I'm going to have to see if I can't find torrents for those, I don't feel like waiting for repeats to air.

ETA: Almost forgot to add this too in the annoyance section. When I FINALLY got a small burst of what I wanted to write for my smut fic, the damn compy freezes on me. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had the actual Word window in front of me cause I could've just wrote it on paper or type it on the laptop but nooooooooooooo! I had a different window open at the time so I was totally fucked. I tried to remember what I wrote but now I don't think it sounds quite as good as what I had before. *throws Cartman tantrum*

Now that I got that off my chest, I finally made use of filling up half of my 100 icons. I mean its good to have that 100 available but its taken me this long to even hit the 90's mark. After counting what I have for icons either of series or pairings, Bleach pretty much hogs it all w/ 27 all together, 10 Renji/Rukia, and 9 Renji's. The 2nd series that comes close is Gungrave at 10. And One Piece at 8. *dorkdork*

Is your DVR Tivo? Because I think on Tivo some programs that you record are set to be self-destruct after a certain period of time. Although I don't think it's the Tivo people doing it but the networks as a way of retaining the digital rights.

No, its by Dish Network (if that helps any). We should've known that something was up cause he had a movie saved from the middle of last yr and when he went to go back to watch it, it was deleted. Of course at first he was going to blame me for doing it but I told him I don't touch his stuff. So we decided to put the protection lock on the movies/programs that we wanted to keep for future viewing. Apparently that didn't help either.

Even though ours isn't Tivo, that wouldn't surprise me if it would do that on its own.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere recently that SOMEONE (I don't remember if it was the tv stations or the producers of the programs) was putting this code into programs so that they are only viewable for a set amount of time before they go bye-bye.

I got to thinking about what bubba said when I brought that up to him. If that were the case of having it saved for a certain amount of time, instead of just having a few programs disappear, why did ALL of our recordings go away? I could see it if they were all recorded at the same time but they weren't. I told him I would call DishNetwork and ask to see what the regulations are when it comes to storing stuff on the DVR. I mean it wouldn't hurt to know how it operates cause I don't think its explained in the book. Might have to see if it actually DOES mention about the dvr and its properties.

Oh no! Your computer froze in the middle of your story!! I hate it when that happens!

You know I don't have any of that hi-tech stuff in my house but if it's true that the programs self-destruct that shit is bogus. I mean people who use VHS and DVD-Rs don't have to worry about the networks not wanting them to have stuff so why should people that use DVR.

I definitely have to check out those icons! Especially the RenRuki stuff. I only have one crappy icon that I made.
