I made an entry in regards to the subject line. I know there are quite a few of you on my flist that has watched Gungrave or know what it is (regardless if the majority of YOU don't speak up) so I'd appreciate it if you passed the news around or better yet, HELP SUPPORT THIS RELEASE!!
Dark Horse releases Gungrave Archives in english!
I won't repeat myself here of what I already stressed in the community so I'll just end it here.

I can imagine them being hard to find anywhere. This title doesn't get alot of promotion to begin with. I bought some of mine through ebay at pretty decent prices and some were through online stores. It's great to see that Dark Horse will be charging such a cheap price. Most artbooks go for over $40.
(I jumped on the "Gungrave" bandwagon rather late ^^;)
Nah. You came in halfway, at least the dvds were still being released when you jumped in. The ppl I see now that kinda mention watching it, just recently started to watch it.
Is it "Archives" or "Materials" that has the interview with the soundtrack composer though?
I'll check my books when I get home from work and see if I can find it. The soundtrack you mentioned is for the anime correct? (I ask since they also released an OST for the game too).

Yeeeeeees, I know they also released an OST for the game... I bought that CD (got it for the composer - never played they game), then they announced that it was being animated for TV, and more soundtrack CDs followed...
Getting back to the artbook, I think the composer did an interview when the game soundtrack was released. I could be wrong and it actually matters little since the same composer worked on both the game and TV series.
I was just reading over the blurb over at the Dark Horse site, but are they combining the two "Archives" for the English version? Regardless, I'll be sure to pick up this book once it hits the shelves. My only concern is actually the low price - I have a feeling either the paper, binding, and/or printing quality won't be that good. Although, at that price I might get 2 instead of 1! ;)

That does seem a little odd for such a huge book for such a cheap price. I wouldn't like to think they would release it in a crappy form but I don't think Dark Horse would stoop that low. (lets hope its worth it ne?)
There is a section in the back for different interviews in Archives. Its called, from the music side of things "From Creator's Interview Tsuneo Imahori".

We'll finally be able to see what the notes are for Lee's transformation.
