Anime rundown

I remember when the list came out for the beginning of the yr as to what new anime was coming out, the majority did not look appealing. And even now, there is barely much of the new stuff I'm watching now, I guess I can consider that a good thing. So here is a list of what I've been watching. Though the lot of them I've had to just watch the raws since some of these are picked up but the groups are getting them out really slow::

One Piece (duh)

Gintama (though the subbing peeps need to pick up the pace.)

Ergo Proxy (thank god its starting to pick up. #9 totally sold me on it *loves on Vincent*)

Saiunkoku Monogatari (another series that is very slow on the sub)

Ouran Host Club

Jyu Oh Sei (I blame wardove for this after discussing it on chat Sun night)

Blood+ (I used to keep up to date on watching the eps when they are available but I stopped at #21 and just couldn't get myself to keep up the pace. I still dl it but in time I'm sure I'll go back and catch up)


Some of those above I've been debating about whether or not I want to keep or just delete as I go along.

I like Ouran but still iffy on wanting to actually keep the eps on hand.

Ergo Proxy, its a decent series but something I know won't hold my attention or feel the need to go back and watch again once its done so I've been deleting as I watch (unless a certain eps catches my eye then I'll keep it).

Good Witch of the West, cute little series, seems interesting, haven't decided on keeping it. Not much info is out there in regards to what this is about.

Jyu Oh Sei, this may be worth keeping BUT its a BONES production too *weeps* And just by watching the 1st eps last night, it seems like it will only get more interesting as time goes on. Could be a keeper. The animation reminds me of the Escaflowne movie. I couldn't find it anywhere if some of the Esca crew is involved in this. The long haired guy on the far right, as wardove pointed out to me, he could pass for Louie from Rune Soldier and the girl to his left could pass for a Meryl from Trigun. Though I must say, an older Zagi (1st dude in the lineup and is voiced by Zoro and Mugen's seiyuu) and an older Thor (next to Zagi) is hothot!


And thats pretty much my list.

I've been meaning to jump onto the OP bandwagon for awhile now, but there's so much catching up I need to do and I'm always afriad of getting into a fandom after it's been released her in the US.

Otherwise I'm watching Ouran and Ergo Proxy too; I can't watch the mp4 format on my comp for some strange reason, so I haven't kept up with Gintama. :/ Are there any subbers who aren't using that format?

I should probably delete the Bleach filler episodes off my computer now... there's no point in keeping them.

I was turned off of OP for a long time, I thought the character design was a bit freakish. But it wasn't until I started to watch the dub and developed a HUGE hatred for it, made me wanna try out the subs. It took about a month's time to get caught up to what I needed and in no time flat, I was hooked!!! I wanted to smack myself silly for ignoring this wonderful awesome series. I think more ppl need to give it a try and watch it, its so full of crack, it leaves you jonsing for more. But actually, the OP fandom is pretty tame, which really shocked me.

As for the mp4 formats that some of these subbers have been doing, I dl'ed a program to where you can covert mp4's BACK TO avi's. Its come in sooooooooooooooooooo handy cause K-F started to release their OP eps that way and with Gintama being in that format, I've been coverting that series too. So if you want Gintama in avi format, let me know and I'll upload the eps that are out right now in subs.

As for subbers who aren't using that format that might have picked up Gintama, so far, I only saw one group subbing that and they are the ones with the mp4.

I've been deleting the Bleach fillers too. I'll skim the raw, skim the sub, and then dispose of it. And god forbid that they might even give us a TINY RenRuki interaction. Christ, the way she treats him in these, its like they never had a connection at all. The staff needs to get off their IchiRuki/yaoi bandwagon. And its sad too cause I used to be stoked on watching this series. Now, I could really give a rats ass, hell its bad enough of the talks of a movie now, I'd really hate to see how they'll treat that.
