Who knew how addicting Avatar The Last Airbender would be?! I know I surely didn't even when Season 1 was still brand new. Since NickToons Network is airing S1, I was able to finally watch the show in its entirety and became hooked right off the bat. For those that don't know, the dvds are finally coming out too.
Granted I like all the characters though of course I developed a sudden fondness to (Prince)Zuko. Sure in S1 he comes off as the typical royal brat but whats great about his side of things is how his Uncle balances things out. But in S2, my love for Zuko grew tenfolds, well not just for Zuko, but the overall new stuff they are exposing as the series goes on.
You also can't help but love the creativity they did in regards to the animals in this series. It made me laugh out loud with this eps. I think its a neat concept of the Turtle Ducks.
Before I babble on more about the series, I uploaded last week's eps Zuko Alone. Damn, this kid keeps getting hot (no pun intended).

I'm anxious to see how they are going to develop his character design as he gets older. *swoons* I don't know if its cause of his hair growing out or what, plus with the situation he's put in now, makes his personality better than S1, signs of him growing up for a change.
Beneath the cut are thoughts and spoilers of the future. So those on my flist who are either watching the series or is reading this, feel free to discuss this with me so I know I'm not the only thinking weird shit. I also don't tend to join comm's anytime soon.
I thought I'll put this behind the cut too for those who might not have caught up yet.
The other thing I love about the series and characters are the bad ppl. I like the fact that Azula (Zuko's sister) is the evil sibling instead of the brother (which you really don't see that happen too often). They gave her the right amount of evilness to where you slap her and call her a bitch but yet like her at the same time.
After seeing this eps, made me think alot of stuff of what may or may not happen in future in regards to Zuko and the overall turn out.
Okay, so from what we see, Zuko's mother ran away correct? If she did run off and is still alive and well, does anyone think there will be a chance she will show up during an important scene (whatever that might be)? And why don't they ever show us what Zuko's father's face looks like? They've shown us Zuko's mother and grandfather, whats so secretive about the father?
This may be a far fetched speculation but here's what I can kinda see happening when all is said and done::
- The Fire Lord will be overthrown. (Hmmm...maybe by Aang and Zuko teaming up cause in some way, I can't see Zuko doing this alone?)
- Zuko will take back his rightful title and will be the new Fire Lord BUT does things for the better of the Fire Nation, not the evilness his father is doing.
- Zuko's sister I can see being banished or just something that will put her in her place (good? bad?)
- Zuko will get over his "must capture the Avatar" high and eventually come to "friendly" terms with Aang and his crew. (or has he really not focused so much on Aang in S2? I missed the first 2 eps of the season)
- I hope they show Iroh sometime soon, I miss the old silly fart.
And thats all I conjured up for now.
Oooookay.....so how much longer do we have to wait till another new eps damn it!!?? Nothing at all for this Friday and next Friday is a repeat already *grrrrrrr!*
~*~
Jyu Oh Sei, I swear they can't get these eps out fast enough. I'm all caught up to #5 and I NEED MORE! It's such a totally interesting story. Though after reading up on it more, it's a bit of a mind fuck when it comes to who's REALLY who character wise. *pulls hair in frustration* I also lovelovelove the animation. Its so crisp, clean, and bright.
I think you might be interested in this series
donna_c_punk.
Eps. 5 is where I made the clip of Third and Chen's scene. I was NOT expecting that, considering we NEVER get this kind of fanservice in most animes. Okay, scratch that, sometimes we do but right when we think its going to happen, something ruins the moment. So when they were getting cozy, I automatically kept chanting "no interruptions, no interruptions". It such a rare treat to see such a touching scene like that happen that I can't help but go "that was hot." *warm woobie feeling regardless of the situation*
I'm not going to dwell too deep into the storyline, I'm just going to cover some notes of what they are talking about in the clip::
- The population of the planet is only 20% female. So the women get to choose the men they want to either marry or bore their children.
- Kou no Tsuki is a term they use for the month of mating with the man that the woman has chosen.
- A TRY is another term for duel.
- And the rest, well, just download the series.
So here is the clip of Third and Chen's moment. Sorry that its not the best quality. For some reason, when cutting clips, it doesn't give you much to work with on options to make it clear. The eps itself though are clear and not so fuzzy like in this clip.
I uploaded the Opening theme. And here is another one since I used a different subbing group to make this clip so I wasn't sure if the quality was any better than the other.
Here are just some misc caps I put up too.
And if possible, can someone make me an icon from this pic? Pwease. *wibbles*

Late Christmas early Birthday. I'm sorry...I haven't sent anything to you lately.
*whimpers*
Don't feel bad, I get the same way too.
While I think of it, did you know that there is a subbing group that picked up Keroro Gunso and started to release the eps starting from the beginning? I know you said you were having problems finding downloads for it.

As for Keroro...it was a long battle, but the fansubbers finally got their acts together. Funny how the one group made of fans dropped off the side of the earth and then another group slides in and has been doing a descent job.
My comp is fucked up so I can't watch stuff like I used too. And burning things is a nightmare. *sighs* I'm never happy. *laughs*

only 5 more episodes left . My manga should be here sometime next week so if i see anything interesting i probably scan some. I'm peeved that Third and Chen's romance kinda froze over and remember that Yuki guy she mentioned to Third back in the smooching episode?
well we finally get to look at him (he's a nice guy but far cry from bishounen lol)
My hope for romance is still with Tiz and Thor though Thor gets a bit side-track by another beauty (^.^)

OMG! My heart just dropped when seeing what happened to Chen and how she felt so insecure on facing Third cause of her "weakness". His reaction to hear what happened to her was so sad too. Even sadder that she still wants to be with him but just can't. AND who in the hell does Third really love that he hasn't mentioned much about? Of course I doubt we'll even know in the anime and I doubt that it will say in the manga (but will be shocked if they do mention it in the manga).

What a fucking idiot he is. Why can't you just fall in love with the girl who LOVES YOU asshole! I'd hate to see Tiz's reaction if and when she finds out about that girl he falls for. Is it bad to say that perhaps its a good thing the chick doesn't live very long?
This is such a interesting series but sad to see that its only going to be so short. I want it to delve deeper into the manga timeline then just skipping around like that.
I'll look forward to the scans if there are things that catch your eye.
What the hell is either with the raws or subbers lately? There hasn't been SQUAT for Saiunkoku, Gintama, and Ergo Proxy.

Thor is a bit smitten by this chic but he does tell Tiz later in the story that her(tiz that is) loves her ^^;

Looks like perhaps that scene might be shown in eps. 8?

at this rate i'm also hating thor cuz things are moving so fast and he's being such an @#$#$#hole teenage skank hehe
umm...and yeah ep 8 has the thor/karin stuff but a lot more toned down than the manga imho. In the manga its strongly suggested that they had sex whereas in anime they just kiss and Thor ramble on about his
lustundying love for KarinFrom:

Some are under the impression that she gave herself up in place of Zuko, because of Ozai being dishonorable about Iroh. Me, I think she left the Fire Nation, since she knew what was going to happen (Ozai taking power), and that she'll reappear later as a leader/organizer of a resistance to the Fire Nation Empire.
And why don't they ever show us what Zuko's father's face looks like? They've shown us Zuko's mother and grandfather, whats so secretive about the father?
I guess it's just some mystery to throw in. It takes away a lot of his menace if you know he looks like an regular person.
- The Fire Lord will be overthrown. (Hmmm...maybe by Aang and Zuko teaming up cause in some way, I can't see Zuko doing this alone?)
I definitely see that. And it will be with Aang's help. Plus, I see next series, The Book of Fire, either bringing Aang together with Zuko or opening with Aang already being friendly with Zuko. Why? Because Aang needs to learn Firebending and Zuko is a very powerful Bender, plus, if Aang does his job, it will remove Ozai as an obstacle in Zuko regaining his place in the Fire Nation heirachy.,
- Zuko will take back his rightful title and will be the new Fire Lord BUT does things for the better of the Fire Nation, not the evilness his father is doing.
If he doesn't do it, he may facilitate a more democratic form of government. To avoid the same problems down the generations. Firebenders seem to be very ... cant think of the word. I want to say offensive, but not in the "disgusting" sense of the word. They're more apt to lapse into a state where they're trying to take over the world again.
- Zuko's sister I can see being banished or just something that will put her in her place (good? bad?)
Considering how nasty Azula is, I don't think banishment will work. They've already killed Zhao, so it shows they're not above killing on this series. Azula will either be killed or - more unlikely - change her ways.
- Zuko will get over his "must capture the Avatar" high and eventually come to "friendly" terms with Aang and his crew. (or has he really not focused so much on Aang in S2? I missed the first 2 eps of the season)
Zuko is well over the "Capture the Avatar" phase. It's an abrupt thing that happens in the season finale. He and Iroh are fugitives now, and the Avatar being captured won't do anything to help Zuko's situation. His father tired to have him killed. Whatever Zuko does now, it won't be anything to get back into Ozai's good graces.

I agree too. If she gave herself up in place of Zuko, don't you think that they would've mentioned the burial as well?
I guess it's just some mystery to throw in. It takes away a lot of his menace if you know he looks like an regular person.
Yeah, thats true. I hope that within time when things really get to the nitty gritty that they do show it.
Because Aang needs to learn Firebending and Zuko is a very powerful Bender, plus, if Aang does his job, it will remove Ozai as an obstacle in Zuko regaining his place in the Fire Nation heirachy.
That would be so awesome if he does help him out on the training.
They're more apt to lapse into a state where they're trying to take over the world again.
Without a doubt, I can see that happening.
For Azula, I was going to say kill off but wasn't sure if I would come off as sounding mean or if they would actually do that to her. But yeah, I can see her being killed cause I don't see her turning herself around.
Hmmm...was the season finale the eps when Zuko and Iroh were at that "spa" and sister shows up saying that she came to take Zuko back? If it is, I only got to see that eps once but I'm sure next week they'll show it again on Nicktoons.
From:

It was a season two episode, because Azula never actually showed up on screen until season two. I can't recall which one, however. It's been ages since I've seen them. Maybe the premiere?
