Bleach dub casting

This is what is listed so far. I can now breath a sigh of relief, I was afraid that they would've used no name ppl for the casting but thank god that isn't the case.

Ichigo - Johnny Yong Bosch

Orihime - Stephanie Sheh

Rukia - Michelle Ruff (YAY! I think she'll do a good job too since she also did Maria's voice on Gungrave)

Ishida - Derek Stephen Princee

Karin - Kate Higgins

Yuzu - Michelle Ruff

Isshin - Patrick Seitz

Tatsuki - Wendee Lee

YAY! For Johnny for being casted as Ichigo. I think he'll do a really good job with it. Poor guy will be treated like the Vic Mignogna of the FMA fans. I can only imagine how huge Johnny's con schedule will be like after Sept. But Johnny is such an awesome guy, he needs to come back to TX again (and THIS TIME sing!).

And as a reminder, Bleach dub airs on Adult Swim (CN) on Sept. 9th, I think 11pm central time if not 10pm.

I'm scared to see who will be chosen for Renji. *bites nails*

Have you seen the dub for Naruto? God, it's the worst thing EVER. I absolutely wanted to kill somebody when I heard Kakashi's VA.

I have YET to come across any dub that was as horrible as One Piece. I do have them to thank though, if it wasn't for the shittyness of the voices, I never would've looked into downloading the subs.

OH GOD! Did they make another new song for the dub? I quit watching it after they fucked up everything about Ace or should I say TRACE!!

If it is a new dub song, how does that one sound? Is it still rappy or is it childish with some annoying english chick singing?

I was never into One Piece so I can't compare the original to the dub. But I've heard it's horrible. I've only watched about half an episode of the show in dub before I changed the channel. More out of lack of interest than the bad dub.

I saw about the 1st two eps of Naruto dubbed and wasn't crazy about it. I can only imagine what the recent eps sound like and from what I hear elsewhere, the dub isn't all that cracked up to be either.

I watched a couple of episodes last weekend. It was the two eps where Ino and Sakura were battling each other in the Chuunin Trials. I hated everyone's voices, but Kakashi's and Gai's were terrible beyond TERRIBLE.

I don't know what to think of Johnny as Ichigo. Haha, I mean he does Renton's voice on the english Eureka seveN, and it's so annoying. I hope he at least sounds Ichigo's age, and not "my balls haven't dropped yet" Renton style. :(

Stephanie Sheh...I like her voice. She is Eureka on E7, and that's not too bad. I think she will be a good Orihime! :D

Hooray for Michelle Ruff though.

...and Derek Stephen Prince! Mmmm Nakago on Fusigi Yuugi. That will be interesting to hear when he comes around.

Lmao okay I have typed enough. I need to do more research on this stuff! :O I am anticipating this Bleach on adult swim so much. Also Trinity Blood, since it's airing on the same night for the first time right after Bleach. Ugh, I can't wait.

Given that I know very little about VAs and the like (though I can typically recognize most of them), I did go and look up their past roles, and it looks like they casted well.

Not mention, most anime that gets aired on [as] tends to have better dubbing. Not nessicarily great dubbing, but deffinately better then the stuff they air "for kids".

Hmmm, Johnny as Ichigo. It sounds like a good idea as he is quite talented, but it's hard to think past his work as Vash in Trigun and translate that to sword-slinging, tough, silliness-lacking Ichigo. We shall see, ne?

Oh yaaay Michelle. She'll be teriffic as Rukia. ^_^

Derek Prince will be good as Ishida too. His work as Keisuke in Fushigi Yugi is well-done.

Haha, and Wendee as Tatsuki. Well that's just perfect, isn't it? *grin*

And speaking of Naruto VAs, despite the fact that most of it makes me cringe, they're alright for what they've got to work with. Kakashi is not the best but Sasuke and Gaara are at least tolerable. I'd say the best casting is for Gai, who's ego-inflated voice works incredibly well.

Johnny Yong Bosch as Ichigo?

What. The. Hell.

Don't get me wrong, I loved him as Vash, but his voice is too... squeaky for Ichigo. Ichigo is supposed to be gruff, and JYB doesn't do that well.

Well, there go my dub hopes. :P

i can half see johnny as ichigo and half not. I agree a bit with what arafel says on the matter, but at least he's being played by someone I actually acknowledge and respect as a VA. I'm still curious to see who will be cast as Urahara.... I think I will continue with my statement that the perfect and only VA I will ever truly accept in the role of Urahara is John Burgmeier.
