I can't help but get all warm and fuzzy when they start showing strips of these two now. The only thing though, I don't recall Liz having HUGE lips, I believe they used to be a bit thinner but who knows, small stuff like that I notice. Could be her new hairstyle too.

I wish my cat could fend for himself while we were out.

For the Garfield fans out there, I finally flipped through this book mom got me back when Garfield celebrated his 25th bday. The book is called "Garfield at 25. In Dog Years I'd Be Dead".

I HIGHLY recommend any Garfield fan to get this book. It shows the early stages of Jim Davis's creation and its AMAZING as the yrs go by, how much the characters developed. I did not know that Jon's parents are based on Jim's family and the likeness is uncanny (except Garfield since he got the name from his grandfather).

It has a run down of different things that was done in Garfield's lifetime of shows, different comics, merchandise, etc. It even has special comic strips to celebrate Garfield's bday by other well known artists that you see in the newspaper.

In fact, here is the link on Amazon. I'm glad that it has alot of postive comments from the readers cause it does seem like it is a really neat book.

Also, to those that might get the book, take the cover sleeve off and check out the hilarious faces Garfield makes on the front and Odie on the back. I'll have to take pics of it when I get time.

Since I'm a total slacker, thanx for the birthday wishes.

Wow, I thought hell would have to freeze over first before Jon and Liz actually got together!

Same here! Poor guy had waited for 28yrs!!!!!! to get hooked up with her.

The book is really interesting, to see this side of what goes on behind making Garfield. Aside from being a cat lover, my older sis (who is also a cat lover) was a HUGEHUGE Garfield nut.I remember when I was little and she had oodles of Garfield knickknacks and stuffed animals. If I dared to touch them, she'd nearly chewed my head off. And then when she moved out of the house and needed to get rid of some of her stuff, THEN I was good enough to inherit her Garfield things.

You're a slacker? What does that make me then? Super slacker?

You're very welcome. It's actually a miracle that I remembered any significant dates last month, considering how hairy-brained (is that an actual word?) my life has been recently. And it's a good thing I did because my sister's birthday comes right after yours. Phew! Disaster averted! ;)
