Rundown of things

Yesterday I finally got around to shipping out 4 X-mas boxes that are going to OH, IL, NY, and Canada. And a reg. box to berrygold. The other 3 smaller gift packages will go out next week. Hope everyone enjoys the goods since as always, money is really tight and what little I was able to keep back for, it always comes in handy of getting double of certain things.

I need to start making X-mas cards out near the end of Nov cause I know that I won't get half of the cards I want to send out this yr, including family.

This is the 2nd yr in a row I'm not in the holiday mood. Again we didn't put up any X-mas stuff around the house and bubba really was adamant about not doing it either. I guess I don't blame him cause by the time you put all the work into putting everything up, you gotta take it down. With the months going by so fast, I just can't get excited for any holiday, not even my bday. Maybe if it went a little slower, my attitude could change but that's highly doubtful. Plus the weather annoys me in TX when it comes to fall and winter, there are no such things unless Mother Nature gets a bug up her ass and makes it coldcold once in a blue moon and that ain't often.

Bah.

Still haven't watched the last eps of Avatar. I have it on the DVR and I dl'ed the eps and have it on the laptop which I haven't touched.

And now I'm getting hooked into watching American Dragon: Jake Long on the Disney ch. It just makes me laugh cause Zuko is Jake's voice and Katara is Rose. The only thing that annoys me is the whole hip-hop slang that Jake speaks.

As much as I enjoy the idea of what I'm writing for my het_challenge assignment, it's driving me FUCKING BONKERS!!!!!!!!!!! I keep going back to the stuff I already have written and re-write certain areas or keep adding stuff in whereas I SHOULD BE writing NEW STUFF to complete the bitch. *headdesk x's 100* And then when I do start to tackle the new stuff, my brain goes blank as if I forgot how to write. So instead of letting it get me down, I just started jotting down the ideas that have been running in my head and THEN go back and see how to put them in a sentence. Why does something so simple have to be so damn hard!? The whole thing sounded good in my head but it turns into mud when I try to type it down.

I may not be in the holiday mood but I still plan on uploading a X-mas cd and other music goods as a gift to the flist in the coming weeks.

Holidays... bah, humbug! I have too much to do to think about holidays. Talk to me again on the 21st when I'm done my last day of work for 10 glorious days. :)

Yes that'd be you. I asked how long it would take and the quick one was 4-7 days and the SLOW one took like 4 weeks which is a crock of shit! They act like that part of Canada, the mail makes 3 round trips around the earth. Hell, I get stuff from Japan quicker than that and that's even with the cheaper/slower shipping.

I was about ready to contact you today if I didn't produce any new stuff. I was getting frustrated on why the scenes just didn't want to come out. My brain has been so frazzled.

Even though I was pretty busy later this evening at work, when I did finally get free time, I was able to actually WRITE! OMGHUZZAH! New stuff at that!! Right now though, I'm just writing what is coming to mind so when I send it out, you can poke it with a stick and see if it will do any tricks for you. *lol*

Lucky for you to get 10 days off from work. I only get X-mas off.

*does the happy fangirl dance* HURRAY!!! I'm going to be checking my mail compulsively for weeks. ^_^ They always say it takes a zillion years for stuff to get between Canada and the US... covering their butts.

I took 4 strategic days off of work to give me those 10 days off in a row. Since I'm contract, the time off is out of my own pocket (ie I don't get paid), but my folks will be visiting from out of town, and you know I desperately need the break.

*gets out her pokin' stick* I'm ready whenever! I really hate days when nothing comes out right... I feel like breaking something sometimes. You were definitely on the right track with what you had started, so I bet it's really good.

On a related note... this evening I finished all the writing for my mammoth project, and it's halfway through the final beta. WOOHOO! Now I can start on the third story in the series all the other projects that I have backed up, like cleaning my apartment and planning all the zillions of things I need to get done in the next couple weeks (like shopping, food, xmas fics, etc). *flops down ded*

All of that said... my world is going to come to a screeching halt when your package arrives. ^_^ *gets champagne and tissues ready*

Yeah, I was getting so frustrated that I couldn't come up with what I wanted to write, I was losing steam. But it seemed that the night after ranting about it, the thoughts came back to me and got back to writing. I asked for a week extension since I know I won't have it done by tomorrow.

You should also use that time to think about what you want to write for the contest too. I can't wait to show off the art banner I'm having made up for this new contest. I already seen the sketch, now I'm just waiting on it to be colored and completed.

I've definitely been thinking about what I'm going to do for the next contest! I have some ideas, and I'm letting them percolate before I switch mental gears. :) I can't wait to see the art - the summer banner was sooo cuuuute! I want a little red puppy. ^_^

So when should I start looking for this package? Next week or next month? *looks hopeful* If I'd have known about the shipping issues (wtf it's Canada not Siberia!), I would've paypal'd you some money to get it in a priority envelope. *laughs* I'm so hopeless... :D

(But I am busting my ass at work, so I am darned well gonna spend some of this money on fun stuff! Like the *three* calendars I ordered for *myself*...)

Ugh American Dragon, I cna't tell what i dislike more about that show season one's opening theme season two's horrible animation or the wanna be street slag that is try to give the show more street cred. the Zuko/Jake Katara/Rose thing does amuse me but not so much that i can stand watching the show

Well I can't form an opinion on that just yet since it doesn't seem like they are going in any kind of order with these repeats. So sometimes I don't even know if I'm watching S1 or S2.

UGH! That shit annoys me sooooooooo much. And certain scenes that Jake speaks like that is just so stoopid and cheesy. It wouldn't be so bad if he spoke like a normal person.

well for Jake Long season one has him singing the opening theme, season two has this horrible animation that is very pointy i guess is the best word for it. And i have no idea about dad finding out. i can't take the show long enough to find out. I did get your email and i will look into it.

I think the holidays nearly kill me just about every year.

I used to feel that way alot but since these past few X-mas's, we didn't have to worry about too much cause #1. we can't afford gifts for everyone in my and his family and #2. as long as we don't have the dinner at our house, we don't have to worry about busting our ass.

I thought Kentucky would get at least some snow but yeah, that blows!! I guess I cherished what little bit we got last week when we had that ice crap come through.

I'd like to trade you my ass-freezing cold weather in Winnipeg for some of that Texas heat. I don't think I've stopped shivering since November.

And I feel you on the writing front. I've 30 lemons to write and while I'm great at thinking up one-liners, people are expecting a decent length for each of them and not once sentence.

Maybe it's because finals start tomorrow, but I sure as heck better put out for my own challenge. GenSaku demands it :D
