Got mom's box in the mail today which had a few goodies in it. She bought me the movies Signs and XXX on dvd, 3 Harry Potter books, the Spiderman Movie soundtrack, some more of my nephews pics, and a few calendars. She got me this yr's LOTR calendar and I must say its a piece of crap! With the pics they used anyways. It seems more focused on pics of the ring @__@, two pics of creepy looking creatures, a pic of Frodo, Gandulf, and of course Leg go of my ass. Can't complain about something that was free I guess.

Then I finally got my cds back from my older sis and while putting my GW and Esca cds away on my compy stand, I noticed a cd that was my bro in law's that I forgot to send back, which was his Danzig. Oopsie, oh well, its not like he listens to his cds all the time, I'll send it off when I send my sis a copy of some other music cds.

Onto the odd things. For some reason I was in the mood to listen to some really REALLY old Def Leppard and I knew I had my cassettes somewhere in a box with the rest of them. I didn't come across those tapes but I did keep my KISS tapes to the top cause I've also been in the mood to listen to some old KISS. I set out two tapes that I haven't heard in such a long time from the early '90's no hit wonder hair bands such as Babylon A.D and The Scream (who's lead singer was then Motley Crue's singer after Vince for one record). Listening to tapes is a HUGE HUGE difference in sound compared to cds. It almost makes me not want to listen to my tapes anymore. The sound is much lower and the quality is poor too. Funny how they were just the thing to have when they came out, who would've known that cds would make such a huge impact with quality and sound? Also while listening to certain bands, I noticed the trend that all sides of music happen to do is sound alike. After hearing a bit of Babylon's tape, I couldn't stand to listen for it for too long, it just irks me to hear that same ole sound.

I really liked the band The Scream but now when I hear it, the only memories that come from it is my ex bf from HS and those are memories I don't want to even think about since he got me the tape one yr for X-mas. He's also the main reason why I hate G'n'R and Lynard Skynard *gags*

Sorry for going off about music, I tend to do that once I get on my music spree and half of you ppl probably don't even have a clue who or what I'm talking about.

Yeah I use to like Def Leppard from the early days the whole way up to Hysteria after that, I think they got too commerical and too popish. I really like On through the night and High & Dry albums, hearing them like that just sounds so funny. The first time I ever remembering seeing anything of DL was when I was little and my older sis had an 8 track of On through the night. I even have two of their video tapes that the one had their old videos that covered them all up to Hysteria and then I got the one tape called In The Round. When Adrenalize came out and went on tour, they came to Hershey Arena and mom went along with us to see them. They were also doing in the round and that stage set up is awsome, I think alot of bands should do that. The last album I bought of theirs was Retro Active, I haven't bothered on getting anything new.

growing up, my big three were, in order, Def Leppard, Rush and The Police.

Hmmm... I had alot that I grew up with so I don't think I could name them but I did go through those fazes. Mine were DL, KIX, AC/DC, KISS, Slaughter, and the Doors. I would constantly play those bands all the time during the fazes, I think my family wanted to strangle me. ^_~ Plus during Jr.High and HS, I would be the girl who always wore black t-shirts, more or less rock shirts, I had so many I lost count *snickers*

It's nice to see that someone else still appreciate's Joe Elliots screaming as much as I do *grins* What a babe... although, I think Sav has remained beautiful while the rest of them have just gotten old. *snerk*

Indeed. In fact, I was so in love with Joe when I was into DL. I noticed how in recent times how old they have all gotten. Sav is actually looking kinda rough since he has that certain disease (can't think what he has though)

Another band I just thought of too since I'm watching tv is The Smithereens and Social Distortion.

As with Deadsy, how I stumbled onto them was catching a vid of theirs on time on MTV2 and they reminded me of Orgy, between the sound and their looks. Later after I did some research, I found out that the singer of Orgy came from Deadsy, he was a guitar player I believe. Thats probably why both bands sound the same to me. I actually like Deadsy for some reason. I never thought that Elijah would have such a good singing voice (and I can't believe how much he looks like his father and less of his mom Cher) *rolls eyes* That doesn't surprise me about that dispute of the dude from Deadsy and 30 sec's to Mars. Everyone is close to a ripoff of someone eventually, hell I'm surprised that Orgy didn't accuse Deadsy of coping their style. I think you might like Deadsy too. My sister doesn't care much for it and neither does my friend Ali but I usually have different tastes in bands than some ppl. I think you might like Chevelle too.
