I'm trying to figure out which X-mas was shittier. I vote for this yr. Sat night we went to bubba's aunt and uncle's place and they did their family thing. They decided to do a white elephant exchange which was pretty fun. All the gifts were useful.
Sunday we finally went and checked out the new Outdoor World not far from us in Garland. Pretty neat place, if there is ever one near you, check it out! They had a restaurant (Islamorada Fish Company) adjacent to the store that we decided to eat at later on in the evening (had to build up an appetite first). We sat at the bar since they had a 1,200 gal. salt water fish tank though they only had a handful of fish for the time being since the place is still brand new. The inside of the restaurant was cool, between the thatched ceiling, seashell lights, etc. The prices are pretty decent for the amount of food you get. I had the seasame encrusted salmon since I hadn't had salmon in awhile and damn was it good. They have good french fries too. That was pretty much our X-mas Eve dinner.
We also had a nice bit of much needed rain going on all of Sunday.
Monday was just another paid holiday. Treated it like any other boring day, did mostly housework while bubba vegged out on watching Court TV marathons and the Cowboys. His family did their own separate thing again this yr. Pretty sad that the only thing that makes my X-mas worth while are the gifts I had received from friends. We didn't do anything for each other since we really don't have/can't afford it right now. No biggie though, the trip to Chicago was good enough for me.
I guess I'm just so sick of the holidays in general. Unless there happens to be a shining moment in the coming yrs, I'm forever going to have a scrooge like attitude. Even mom has been feeling it as well. My older sis doesn't mind it too much just cause she's got two young kids to keep the spirit alive in her household....for now till they get older.
Tues. I had to go back to work but this week is a short work week for me since I'm taking my 3hrs on Thurs night that the company gave us for the holiday and I'm taking Friday off.

Since there probably won't be any new Bleach dub eps till Jan. I found a torrent for #16 that has yet to be shown. I've uploaded the eps to my flist so ppl can hear for themselves on why I'm so horrified by Renji's dub voice. This eps has him talking more than the little bit we got to hear at the end of #15. I swear to god it takes all I have not to throw something at my tv when I hear half the cast open their mouth. There is very few of the characters in the dub that is tolerable. Ishida sounds very dull and nerdy and Stoned!Urahara speaks a bit in this one too for those who haven't heard him yet. I cringe when I heard Rukia say Byakuya's name. I don't know if it was the way she said it or it all sounded garbled but it didn't sound right. I mean hell, it's bad enough they can't even say KON's name right. Where in the fuck are they getting the pronunciation CONE from? What little hope I had for this series went down the shiter pretty damn fast.

Dexter eps. 3 - "Popping Cherry"
Summary: Dexter and Debra try to dissuade their boss, Lt. Maria Laguerta, from perusing a security guard whom they believe is wrongfully identified as the Ice Truck Killer. Meanwhile, Rita receives an unpleasant visit from an "associate" of her ex-husband.
Dexter eps. 4 - "Let's Give The Boy A Hand"
Summary: The mysterious Ice Truck Killer escalates his killing spree by leaving body parts of his victims at sites that relate to memories from Dexter's childhood which leads him to confront his dark personal history.

As I re-watch this series, Dexter just amuses me so much only cause he doesn't know how to feel or what he should feel, can't take a joke (the "handjob" remark by Angel, etc), and seeing his reaction when Rita gave him a blowjob near the end of #4 was amusing.

It really is painful to hear. And his voice is one that I WILL NOT get used to hearing unlike the others. I just don't get it, supposedly they had the VA's watch the raws, you would THINK they would TRY and get these ppl to get the voice range close to how the characters SHOULD SOUND. Really, Renji's wouldn't be so bad if the dude would deepen his voice, SOMETHING to make this character as gruff and badass that he is.

The title for the 4th eps just made me die when I read the summary and little spoiler. XD
I'm afraid to check out Renji's dub voice. I haven't even heard Ishida's yet (which makes me sad yet not) but wasn't impressed by Rukia's. So far I'm not too upset with Ichigo's. Chad's VA was just odd. But then I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard him speak, being so used to his seiyuu.
Ooooh! Meme fun! (Excuse me but I am suffering from the giddiness of having more Dexter to watch, having a cold, and just me being weird ol' me.)

I've been wanting to try out Wire in the Blood but kept forgetting about it. Have you seen much of it and if so, what's it like?

Yeah I hear ya.
I've been debating about putting the summaries behind a cut again but then again, after each eps, they show you previews about what's coming up in the next eps. Except I don't think these eps. I dl'ed for some reason, they cut out the previews which was stupid if you ask me. Plus before I put up the summaries, I make sure that no BIG spoiler is given.
OH GOD! I forget which eps coming up has it in but if anyone is squeamish about ALOT of blood, I don't think ppl will want to watch it or skip over the scene. I know it freaked me the fuck out. I haven't posted that eps yet but I will make sure to mark that eps as such about if you have a problem seeing alot of blood, the eps isn't for you.
As for the bleach dub, the voices I can tolerate are: Chad, Ichigo's family, Orihime, Tatsuki, and a tiny bit of Ichigo. The rest just annoys the fuck out of me. Thanx VIZ for ruining my feelings about dubs, especially when they fuck with something like this. What the fuck happened to the really good dubs or better yet, where are the "ocean group" peeps when we need them??!!! ALOT of the VA's from GW would've been a great cast for Bleach.
Well if I can get the speed connections to work in my favor, I can have 2 Dexter eps posted each week or hell, maybe twice a week, pending on how long it takes to upload. Make sure you're caught up!
Also if you want some Dexter icons, let me know and I'll point you in the direction BUT as I was looking at half of them, they have alot of spoilers for near the end so I would probably wait. *poke* Maybe you could make some too whenever you get the time if inspiration strikes.
