Best anime news release in awhile

Finally...FINALLY someone picked up the license to Sousei no Aquarion (the couple in my icon). Funimation made the announcement that they acquired it. I don't give a flying fuck if I have to watch the sub side of things, I'm just fucking ecstatic to have it on DVD!!!!!!! The series has been over since Sept of '05 though I was hoping Bandai would've picked it up, I'm just glad someone did, it's been waaaaay overdue. *flailflail*

This will give me that boost to start writing fics for the series. I need to watch it again since I don't believe I watched the sub of the last few eps aside from the raws.

I still need to buy that artbook, I want the shiny!!

Don't worry seidoo_ryuu, I still plan on making you copies of said series.

Now I'm just anxious as fuck for the OAV to come out Sousei no Aquarion: Uragiri no Tsubasa. The tiny pic they have posted has Apollo carrying Silvia in his arms. *squeeee*

Holy s***, there is an OAV to SoA? I didn't know that. Say, do you have the summary for that one?

And for the news, I hope that they have great VAs for the series. Once you listened to the original ones, you tend to compare to see if the voice matched the character. At least I do (if, say one hears the English version first, one gets used to that one and vice versa).

HELLS YES there is an OAV but no word on when it will be released. Plus there is no summary either but here is the link to it as well as a small pic:

I hope they pick some good voices too cause I really can't think who they could get to do Apollo's voice (and it better not be VIC! aka Ed from FMA >__<) Now if they would use the GW voice actors, it would totally be an awesome dub. And while I don't overly mind Funi's choice for voices on Trinity Blood, I'm still scared to see how Aquarion will sound. But at least I can always watch the japanese side of the disc. Not only do I love Apollo's jp voice but the actor is hella cute!

As for the comparing bit, I do that alot, hence why my displeasure about the Bleach dub.

They supposedly are giving Aquarion a Fall '07 release but I'll see it to believe it. (but am crossing my fingers like hell that it's true!)


Speaking of comparing, did you notice how some of the characters on Aquarion are like GW characters? So far, I've picked out a Zechs, Noin, and Relena.
