Comment here asking me why I love a certain book, song, movie, character, quote, food, place, or anything you can think of you that I love and you've been curious about, and I'll respond to you telling you why in a comment.
Oh geez, now I really have to think on this without really repeating myself from before.
One thing that amazed me with the series, especially with certain characters, is how Kubo likes to be sneaky and not really show anything till it builds up. And really, when you think about it, I think the RenRuki setup is more in depth than say GinRan (which really, I'm not a fan of the pair but it would've been nice to see more about them). And to me, that says alot cause really, Kubo didn't have to show us that much when it came to RenRuki's lives. That shows to me on how important one is to the other.
At first, I thought Renji was just being a spiteful prick. I almost didn't like him cause of the way he treated Rukia when he and Bya came to retrieve her. It wasn't of course till later that we see the connection between the two. But when it got to #32, my heart just bled all over the place. Something about that kind of relationship when characters have a connection/past together and see how things have changed to the present, really pulls me in. Not just Bleach either. Now if they had become total strangers, I don't think I'd love them as much cause then it only shows that they had moved on and not really thought of the other. But since Renji shows how much it affected him and how much he wanted to change to save her life, the wild dog turned into such a puppy. *laughs*
