Aquarion - In other words short for Sousei no Aquarion. A mecha anime that resembles Escaflowne quite a bit but then again, the creator from Esca had his hands in this hence why this series is kind of a mind fuck. Gives you the same kind of feeling of how they treated Van and Hitomi like Apollo/Silvia. The OSTs to this series is very beautiful since of course Yoko Kanno composed the music. I also like the mythology aspect with it too. The animation is very pretty and certain characters you can't help but like (Pierre, Silvia and Apollo's beast like behavior). Though it takes awhile to warm up a bit to Silvia just cause of her childish attitude and her adoration to her brother. Certain characters also remind me too much like Gundam Wing. The write up from Wiki explains it alot better. The OVAs are in the process of being released but after watching the 1st one, I'm not pleased with it. All they did was take the series and just changed the story set up. The original series is TONS better. Part 2 was just released in theaters in Japan on the 9/22/07.

Black Lagoon - One of my fav. action animes from last yr. Kickass females for realz! And really, you can't help but love the Lagoon crew. (The voice for Dutch is Harry from Gungrave and Benny is Sanji from OP and reckless Revy is Winry *lol*) Two seasons came out for it and there is also a manga too. I haven't seen much of the manga but would love to see the rest of whatever might be published of it. Again, another series that was overlooked by the masses which is a shame cause it really is a good series. Though now with that bullshit Geneon just pulled, has made it worse for the series since they had their grubby hands on the dub. If you would like to check it out, I could upload some eps for you and both seasons were pretty short, like 12 eps. each.
