Might as well try to fit as much as I can in my entries now since lj has a limit on how many posts we can do. Which I don't blame them, I don't see how they can keep up with the amount of ppl that have accounts now, plus keeping an archive of our older entries. I wonder how long they keep them before they take them down?
I watched Tues night's IY and hearing Scott do Koga's voice more, I guess its okay for the character after Barb pointing out to me that he is just a teen like Kagome. Then again it took me awhile to like Richard Cox doing Inuyasha's voice cause at the time, I didn't think that it fit IY's character till later on. Granted that they don't make IY do all the grunts, growls and noises that the japanese version does. Wardove pointed out to me that even Sess in the japanese version doesn't come off as being remotely nice to Rin compared to the english version. Then again, its all in the voice actors that can create the feeling. Some can do it, some can't.
Now I can see why I'm still so afraid to hear the dub for Full Metal Panic! and if those assholes from ADV would've just told me or given me a better answer when it comes to the voices, I'm sure that alot would be off my shoulders. Now I just have to remember that damn link they told me to check in a few weeks that will have the voices posted. I really haven't seen any anime that ADV has produced so I'm not overly familiar with their voice actors. I think they have done Nadesico so I have that on dvd. I just have to check that to see who does who's voices on that one. Besides, when it comes to having the japanese use any of the guys who done Weiss, you really can't force yourself to enjoy the dub (except Esca, they used Seki and Miki's voices but I enjoy the dub better). So I have a feeling that I'll be watching FMP in sub format just like I have to do with WK. Mediablasters ruined the WK dub with the voices they used, sorry, no matter how many times I can sit there and watch the dub, I don't like it.
I'm hoping like hell that I can get the rest of #5 of Wolf's Rain downloaded today. Damn connections from wherever the download is coming from keeps changing, or stopping, or gets real slow. I was making progress yesterday till it stopped and said searching and I got tired of waiting and paused it and had hubby finish downloading Spiral #12 for me.
Speaking of Wolf's Rain, I made an icon of Kiba!!! Not many pics yet of this anime so I had to make do with what I had.
I be so happy if
aoi can make me copies of Marmalade Boy. I've been dying to see it after watching a few amvids that ppl used of the anime. I also hope that the vid programming dude from Ushicon can make me a copy of the one hentai they showed called Yester Once More (not sure if he meant Yesterday or not) but either way, I can't find that worth shit for download and I really liked it regardless of the WORSE subtitling I ever came across, half the time what the characters said made no damn sense.
I started watching Naruto Mon night at work and OMG! That has got to be the funniest anime I've seen in a loooong while! Naruto is such a silly boy, BUT if my ears don't betray me, it sounds like Mizuki's voice is done my Miki Shinichirou. I have up to eps 8 on disc and hope that eventually I'll have time to download more, that is if Dove hasn't made me another disc of the others yet.
Aside from the anime aspect, for some reason last night on the way to work, I felt like utter shit. My eyes felt sleepy and at times things were a bit blurry, then again it doesn't help that it was raining. My mind wasn't tired though, just my eyes -__-. So I still spent half of my early part at work napping on and off just so I didn't feel so damn tired when I got off since I have to stay a bit over till the 1st shift girl finally arrives.
Called my older sis for a bit last night before I forgot. I have to keep asking her if my bro in law has watched the Hellsing #1 dvd that I got him for X-mas yet and she said that once she finally recovered it (she couldn't remember where she stacked her dvds), he watched it this past weekend and he loves it. Then he asks "When are you going to get me the rest?" since in PA, they don't have shit for anime not even in Suncoast. I told sis that thank god there are only 4 dvds and that if she wants to just buy them online, I gave her a link to try. So hopefully they go that route on getting them for Brian.
Also something silly from Garfield, who can blame him! I feel the same way.

Guess I'll try to catch up on more email while I'm waiting a bit longer at work till I leave.

The best place to get anime here is Best Buy. They have the most extensive collection for sale anywhere, and they continually get more titles over time. They might not have everything all at once, but I think that they see that there is a big anime market that can be supplied, and they keep getting in more stuff!

Yeah I wanted to tell her that too but forgot since I couldn't remember if they had a Best Buy yet near them or not. I know it seems like PA is kinda slow on getting certain stores built up there. When Target finally came around, you would've thought it was the best thing since sliced bread to my family awhile back. They also just now got a Texas Roadhouse restaurant too that we've had down here oh since '98, I was kinda shocked to see that they finally migrated up north. Another odd thing that they don't have up north yet is Bennigans, an Irish pub/restaurant (which is really good).
I know I get the majority of my anime at Best Buy too, except as of late, the one close to where we live hasn't had shit for titles. I mean they have anime on the shelf but not for what I'm looking for.

Hehe, yeah, Target was a new thing a couple of years ago, and like you say, the Texas Roadhouse, bt we haven't eaten there yet. There is one a couple of miles from here now.

A quick look over at the seiyuu database http://www.tcp.com
And survey says ... dinkdinkdink Miki Shinichirou does do the voice of Mizuki in Naruto! Good ear! I haven't looked at my disks yet, but I did catch some of Naruto at Ushicon and you're right it's hilarious.

Sounds kinda sad huh that I can pick things out like that? I think I'd rather be a fangirl when it comes to voiceactors than being a squeely fangirl over an imaginative character.
Some voices though are kinda distinctive to pick up but at times its like "is that them or isn't it?" When I first watched FMP, both Sousuke and Kurz sounded familiar and I was thinking perhaps Ken and Yohji's voice and then I saw the credits were subbed too and I saw their names, so I was on the mark with that. I just hate it when they don't take the time to sub the ending credits, perhaps not all the time but the first few eps just so we can see who is doing what voice.
