Never did get to accomplish much tonight at work, not even the rest of the emails that need sent out *sigh* Not that I mind being totally busy on Thurs nights at work but sometimes it can be a real pain in the ass especially when certain jobs just up and disappear from the que and I have no clue where it went *kicks stupid system* Hope they can retreive the lost job, it was pretty big too.
But at least while waiting for the other stuff to complete, I made sure to make time to watch #8 of Wolf's Rain. I got so caught up into it that I threw a fit when it was over.
I forgot to mention it last week but after watching #7, the music got me thinking. Is it me or does certain background music remind you of the Escaflowne bgm? (I can't say anything specific since there are so many sountracks to Esca) I wouldn't mind getting the soundtrack for WR once someone from the states start selling it, I don't feel like ordering it overseas. What I DO hope is that some places can get are the Kiba/Fang plushies, he's so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuute! Actually they need the whole set, not just his.
As for #8, it definitely has its "awww" moments. Question though, pertaining to what the old lady said to Cheza. Cheza is a complete being, different than the kind that the old lady is (flower wise). Is it cause of where and how Cheza was created that she is a complete being?
My thoughts on the dreams that each of the guys had. For Toboe, in eps 3 I believe, when they were eating that dead deer, they were discussing what is at Paradise. Toboe said he dreamt of the old woman who took care of him, which would explain his dream that he had when Cheza put them to sleep.
Hige's dream was close to what he said in eps 3. (not going to quote word for word but off the top of my head) about lots of women. Which had me laughing when his dream had all those wolves around him some which actually looked like females by the design of the faces and eyes. (I can somehow pic Hige going "I am THE man! WOO! Now ladies, no need to fight over me, there's plenty to go around" *snickers*) And as I told
wardove earlier, Hige sticks out like a sore thumb of the pack when they show them as wolves. He's the plumbest of the bunch, especially when you compare him to the scrawnyness/youthful form of Tobe, but I can't compare much to Kiba's or Tsume's wolf form since they almost look the same, both have that pride tough pose going on. But concerning how Hige looks, I guess thats what he gets for being hungry all the time *snickers*
For Tsume's dream, I always thought he would be the lone type wolf even though earlier he was the "leader" of that gang. But the scenery in his dream I think kind suits his type.
Kiba's dream seemed like his main goal was to find the moonflower, even when he was younger and heard stories about it. Hence why perhaps Cheza was in his dream.
I hope that maybe later, they will go into the backgrounds of each character, that part needs a bit of explanation I think in order to understand the character itself. ESPECIALLY when it comes down to Quent and Blue. Funny how already a few ppl asked me what my thoughts on Blue were, is he wolf, a dog, or half and half? To me he looks like a wolf, not so much as a dog but I guess we won't know till later and why the hell Quent is after the wolves too, since he doesn't seem to be focused on Cheza.
I thought it was funny how Cheza asked each guys permission if she could go with them (even though she was already this far with them). I think that regardless if say, Tsume said no, Kiba would've had the last word in it anyways ^_^ and I couldn't help but laugh at how Tsume tries to be all tough when he has to snort to think about his answer. Man I could go on forever with these bits and pieces. My thoughts on Cheza from the get go is that I NEVER even would think that she would've been an annoying character. Before she was freed she looked like she would be a shy timid character. Its sad to see with some fans that just cause you have a female character show up, especially if she's going to be somewhat of a main character, that she's going to ruin the whole show. (then again you do have certain animes that puts the female characters in a bad light) But I love it when she is child like in some of her ways, very cute. *melts more at the Kiba and Cheza hand holding*
Toboe's character is as sweet and childlike as Cheza, he's up there in that cuteness factor too. Since he is the pup of the bunch, my view on how he looks at the rest of the guys is like they are his big brothers while the pup tags along wanting to hang with the grown ups.
After being exposed more to Darcia in #7, I missed not seeing him in #8 but hopefully he shows up soon. ^__^
Another question that popped into my head on my long drive home from work. The tunnel that the guys went through that Zari showed them, Zari mentioned to Core about how in his younger days when he tried to find Paradise with his pack, it was contaminated with poison gas. My question is, was the poison gas perhaps a barrier to keep others out from that area where Kiba and the group found Cheza (I believe that tunnel lead them to Darcia's garden right?) As in when everything turned to ruins (flashback clip of Darcia and Hamona), was that gas a way of keeping anyone from going any farther since it seemed like that was the only way out of that dreary town that Zari and the others were in (besides the train)? I know this is a dumb question but its just a stupid thought. Anyone can correct me or give me their view on it. I've been wanting to go back and watch WR from the beginning again just to refresh my mind.
Must take nap early this morning, its going to be a looooooooooong weekend for me, I just know it. Besides, I must prep myself up to get
blkros into Wolf's Rain this weekend MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!
P.s- Don't forget
blkros we have
wardove to blame for all of this ^_~
