As most of us know, the Hyatt is sold out. If anyone either on my friends list or those who lurk or perhaps someone who knows of someone who is looking for a room to help pay to crash out in, then please read this.

In case some might not know, Akon (huge anime convention) is in Dallas Tx, May 30th-June 1st.

I'm looking for at least 2 more ppl to help share my room and help keep the room cost down. Yes I'm staying at the Hyatt and as of now, I have at least 5-6 ppl but having 2 more will help matters greatly.

I have the room from Thurs-Sun, either female or male are welcome but keep in mind to bring something to sleep with on the floor.

If anyone is interested, you can contact me here or email me at beck21_77@yahoo.com

Feel free to pass this onto other ML's or pimp this on your own lj for others to see or friends who are looking to stay at the same hotel where the con is at instead of having to deal with the overflows since as of now, the 2nd overflow is now sold out.

Thanx!

Edit Its no big deal if I don't get the extra two ppl for the room but I thought I'd go ahead and offer and for those who want to also save some money.

Damn...I didn't know that Acon was that huge- but everything in Texas is big ne?
If we knew ahead of time would of went but we just put all our funds into Otacon. Hope you find someone so you don't have to have a full price ticket.
Good luck.

Pretty much for how it is with Akon. I've been going since '00 and not even then it wasn't overly crowded. Akon '01 was at a different location cause of them working on the hotel airport and it was kinda packed but still, not overly jammed. Now Akon '02 was HUGE! (I think it also has to do with having Duel Jewl there and Scott McNeil as a 1st timer for Akon). They had I believe 3 or 4 overflow hotels that were sold out. I'm always thankful to get my room in advanced.

But yeah, ever since I moved to Texas, I noticed that ALOT of things are big here, INCLUDING the bugs!!

One of these days I'd like to go to Otakon. Where I'm originally from in PA, we lived like an hr and a half from Baltimore/MasonDixon line so it would be easy to just stay with my family and drive down to the con plus be able to take my nephew along too.

My friends also want me to try out Ohaycon next Jan. I really would like to and hoping my hubby lets me. Too many damn cons, so little time and money *sigh*

Re:

At this moment we can only afford one con a year- price of new house and getting hitched is costing a pretty penny.
I would love to travel to different cons, just the driving is a pain in the rear. :)

I live in Dallas with a friend. If I check with her and she says it's okay, you can stay with us. We live about 20 minutes from the Con.

I live around the area too but I already had my room reserved since Dec and we always like to stay in the hotel where the action is so we don't have to worry about the traffic and the parking spaces. Thanx so much for the offer though. We'll have to keep in touch before the con comes around and hopefully get to meet you. I can tell you right now that on Fri I will be wearing this costume:

Ran costume

and on Sat. I'll be cosplaying as the black manga version of Alucard from Hellsing.

But yeah, contact good, its always cool to meet others online.
