Man, Tues was just an odd day for me. After helping bubba this morning, I went to take my nap after work. I slept for at least an hr and half before I just laid there wide awake with the cat nestled between my legs on top of the blanket, knocked the fuck out. Must be nice if he can just sleep without any care in the world. So I woke after 12 noon and piddled around on the compy a bit and decided to get on a cleaning spree (of what little I was able to clean though). I got another hr or so nap in before I got ready for work. I was surprised that for the long drive I take to work that I wasn't overly sleepy behind the wheel. I'm still not overly tired now, I just wonder why all of a sudden I feel like this. Probably just a fluke.

I was able to finally cover some ground on some anime this weekend I had downloaded recently.

I was very impressed with this eps. In fact I lost count on how many times I watched it since this weekend. I'm glad to see that they aren't dragging to much out with this series when it comes to covering other characters and the groups. It was neat to see Ino's team in action but of course, nothing could compare to the real deal of this eps. Seeing Sasuke wanting to kill was awesome. That whole auroa of evil that surrounded him and those funky designs that appeared on his body was sweet, it blended in so well with those red eyes of his. The whole "Who did this to you Sakura?" give me chills yet was cheering the boy on to go kick some ass. I was expecting Sasuke to rip Zaku's arms off for the way he kept bending them back. I actually wanted him to go after Dosu too but alas, Sakura stepped in to stop Sasuke which was a very cute scene. I was so happy to hear Naruto's voice for the next preview, not only that but laughed my ass off when he was trying to figure out what the dog was trying to say. *sigh* I'm always anxious now to see more of this series.

I've been hooked on this series since the 1st eps. Watched #4 and 5 and it just fuels my love for this even more. Pacifica I think is such a cutie! And now knowing that her twin is alive, I can only be hopeful for Pacifica and Chris to become an item. I first thought maybe Chris was her brother but thank god he's not (he's a cutie too). And I love Leo too, but I don't think that he and Pacifica will amount to anything, aside for him pinning over her.

I'm glad I gave this one a try after [livejournal.com profile] wardove made a post about it last week on the LR ml and she transfered me the eps. Got time to watch it last night and I actually like it. I think it has an interesting setting and I like the outfits the guys wear. Gou reminds me of Heero but drawn as the 1xR doujin artist Plum Garden, with the sharp features to the face and of course the dark hair. The multicolored eyes kinda mess with MY eyes by staring at them too long but still very yummy to look at. I could do without the femmy male character in this, Shin who looks like a male version of Anthy (?) from Utena. Gai, we swear could pass for Aiasha and Jim's love child (from Outlaw Star), its not even funny. Even the white tiger reminds me of the beast that Aiasha turns into as well. Plus Gai's weapon reminds me of a cross between Wolverine and Ken from WK, with the claws. I can't wait to see what becomes of this series too.

As for movies, yeah I know its a bit late to bring it up but oh well. Two weeks ago I went to go see X-2 and I was really impressed! I think its even better than the first but I still like the 1st as well. Mmmmmmmmmm..........this time, lots of yummy Wolverine/Logan screen time *paws at Hugh Jackman* I would love to go see it again but the way things are going, I guess I'll be waiting for the dvd. I just find it ashame that X-2 and Matrix have to go up against each other. I don't know why they couldn't have released one of them for the summer blockbuster instead of now. The CG they used in X-2 were really good, there wasn't much that you could point out and say "what bullshit, how fake, you can see right through with what they are trying to do." unlike all that unrealistic shit that I have seen with Matrix, sorry but thats a turn off for me and a REAL BIG snoozer (then again I never like the Matrix to begin with). THEN to see this cheesy lame ass The Hulk movie is enough to make me laugh, the graphics are just too obvious that it takes away from the actual movie itself. I prefer the tv series and I really hope that the movie flops. Hell even the Spiderman movie wasn't that fake. I give much kudos to the creators of the X-men movies, they do a excellent job with not only the characters but overall.

A few weekends ago, I finally got around to watch The Ring on dvd. I didn't watch any of the extras just cause it was getting late so I'm sure I missed out on something. But my view on the movie, what a waste! I'm so glad I didn't spend my money on seeing it. It wasn't even scary, I thought it was dumb. *shrugs* To each their own and this is my opinions on the matter.

Bubba wants to go see Bruce Almighty which does look okay, I just hope that the previews they are showing on tv aren't the only good scenes in the movie.

YAY! I feel accomplished now that I got this entry off my chest. I still have to work on writing more about my opinions about Trigun.

Now I must work on betaing [livejournal.com profile] wardove's part 7 to Bloodstone *bouncebounce*

Saint Beast flopped with me...I still think they are to over feminine and skinny for me. I don't see guys like that and I'm kinda tired of seeing almost all the guys in anime now drawn that way.
The story could be great- but I was too disappointed with the style I couldn't get over it. *shudders* What happened to the manly-man? Broad shoulder, muscle bound hero that scared the be jesus out of the enemy? Wafe does not do it for me. GET SOME FOOD BOYS! DRINK YOUR MILK!!! AHHHHH *snicker*
Plus I think Suzaku looks like a Nuriko- is if from the same company and they are just reusing a famous character or just being blatant? all they need is the mole...I kept putting my mouse by his cheek to see if I can scratch his cheek to see if it would appear. *shakes* Nyu...

I know...I complain way too much about anime anymore. I'll probably get my head ripped off for this by fangirls. Oy used to it by now. hee hee heee

I tell you what Saint Beast reminds me of, Saiyuki. I only seen a few eps of Sai but I didn't care for it and I don't like the character designs, too sloppy.

Yeah I can understand about having some beefy characters for a change and it does get old seeing nearly the same style of anime characters with everything thats coming out. Have you seen E's Otherwise yet? Thats another anime where they SHOULD'VE used their own creative differences instead of having characters that look like they came out of Sailor Moon and FY.

Mmmmm.... a broad shoulder (but he wasn't overly muscle bound) hunky man that comes to my mind recently is Nicholas D. Wolfwood *slurp* in his shirtless-I got laid before I died- (^_^) smoking by the window scene. Who knew what these guys are packing underneath those overly dressed suits? I never did see the complete series of Trigun till they brought it on tv and when I saw Wolfwood shirtless, I think I was speechless and then had to pry my finger off the rewind button on the remote (I have to tape the series at night).

The more I think about these anime's that have been coming out, I don't recall seeing any true manly men.

I complain way too much about anime anymore. I'll probably get my head ripped off for this by fangirls. Oy used to it by now. hee hee heee

Yeah I hear ya, that won't surprise me too much if you become the victim by the fangirls, seems like you really can't view your own opinions anymore about certain anime you watch without having someone breathing fire up your ass. Since afterall, we are supposed to love and adore everything else ppl watch ya know ^_~

I will not lie- they had a grand premiere of Saiyuki at Animazment last year and we got dragged to it. 1. I was very sick and so was Richard so our fighting time was dimmed. 2. We hated the people who were dragging us (even longer and drug out story) 3. It was late.
Richard and I wore ourselves laughing. After ten minutes we sniveled back up to our room to watching something on the computer. Together on the computer we had more good anime then the entire con. Bah. But yes, Saiyuki sucked in the first ten minutes.

E's I got past the design because I read about it first- sounded really good but I am tired of some of the characters...mostly the evil Chinese brat.
Right now they are so stuck on ideas that they are reusing stuff- which isn't so wrong sometimes but it gets old.

My favorite bish is a toss up- Shinomori Aoshi from Kenshin...or Mamoru Kusanagi from Blue Seed. Both yummy, a ninja or a veggie, just cannot choose! One is good with soy sauce and the other with Ranch dressing. *snickers*

And yes, I have been abused by fangirls. I am vocal on things I dislike and they HATE that. Oh...the faces I get and then they whisper to get a leader to tell me off which is really hilarious. I love torturing the packs of fangirls. Yes I am evil. My best performance was at a Harry Potter movie. That was classic and I was never taken or discussed around me that topic. *goes off laughing wiping tears from eyes*

I know what you guys are saying about the anime bish, but then when you think about it, animes have never been known to use hunky men in most of thier series, most have always looked very feminine and thin-man at least they could give them muscle tone.

I guess that's what I appreciate about the anime style in like Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain and even dare I say Weiss Kreuz Gluhen. The men are beautiful but not overly feminine and their bodies look moderate to very manly. And the women in those animes are absolutely gorgeous as well.

Other series that I can think of right now that had nice bodies on guys are Outlaw Star, I mean Gene's waist was a little tooo thin but he had awesome muscles. DS from Bastard was very un-anime in the fact he was just rippling with muscles all over-gotta love those shadowed nakie scenes ~_^ and let's not leave out Naruto (*sigh* Kakashi). They draw their adult male bodies very nicely I think.

I'm sure if I put my mind to it I could think of other anime exceptions to the "body of bish" rule.

Well, I always thought they over compensated for certain things. Women are supposed to be hourglass and men are triangles- wide shoulders that goes down to the waist. They always over exaggerate and give women huge breast, tiny waists, and proportioned hip with large eyes and large mouths. Men had thin lips, narrow eyes (depending on the type of character), strong jaws, broad shoulders that went down to the waist, small hips- tight rear (Nyao!!!) long legs.

Today it is whacked out- either revenge of the nerd like Chobits and Ai Yori Aoshi- even Mahoromatic or all the men are beautiful bishonen that out shine any female (if they have any).
I think it is mostly the girls that control it- the girls I know won't watch it unless the men are bish in the thoughts they look like girls.
You could tell them you think Kakashi (who is so cool in his own rights) and they would look at you like your nuts. And even Darsh and Gara from DS would get you some eyebrows.
But a few fell through the cracks- forgot his name but the Samurai and the angel looking guy from .hack//twlight bracelet, Final Fantasy Unlimited Kaze, Weber from Full Metal Panic (plus the older guy who I think is much hotter :P), Munto has a few muscled guys, Ninja Scroll TV series, and Wolf's Rain like you said. There are like you said a few- but so few that don't become popular like the ones with nothing but rails for men- but they have a pretty face.

But still the most frightening to me is the young boy fetish. It is scaring the crap out of me.
