WAAAAAAAAIIIIII! I'm so fucking sore, it hurts so much just to move my body an inch. I got a call Sunday morning from bubba's family wondering if they could have a late father's day bbq at the house since all the other places they tried having it at was a no go and since we have the lake behind the house, it would make it easier for Vince (bro-in-law) to bring the ski boat over. One thing I will never understand with bubba's family is WHY they always have to eat so damn late OR they show up late, with the exception of my father-in-law who came over like 3 hrs early. (Good thing I was on the phone at the time, I didn't have to put up with him bugging me.) I'm just glad that bubba doesn't follow his family's pattern of lateness.
So once everyone finally showed up and while we were waiting for the charcoal to get nice and hot, a couple of us went out on the boat to go tubing. Its been nearly 6 yrs since I done that and I my body paid for it for sure. I first went out on the tube with my niece and it was so hard trying to hold on while laughing and screaming at the same time. I wiped out the 1st time and I wiped out HARD. I'm just glad that we weren't in chlorine water cause I took a huge amount of water up my nose that it wouldn't surprise me if it also came out of my eyes, and not just cause of it stinging either. I then tried to go it on my own and ended up wiping out again, not quite as hard as the first but enough to make me stop. That wore me out so much, my arms were shaking. I know when it came to going to bed last night, I was knocked the fuck out and woke up in the morning so stiff, it hurt to move my neck. My neck, shoulders, arms and a tad bit of my legs feel like I was lifting 200lbs non-stop.
guardianhunter!!! Where are you when I need you the most!!!?? ^_~
Then another thing I hate about living in Texas are the mosquitoes or whatever the hell they are. I was outside washing the plastic chairs down before anyone came over (aside from the f-i-law) and already I was getting eaten live. I'm not sure if these are mosquitoes, they are little gnat looking bugs but they bite you and suck your blood anyways. I can understand getting bit up at night but not during the day damn it!!!! My left leg is covered in bites that it almost looks like chicken pox, only bigger. But then again, with us living by the water, its alot worse too with me stepping foot outside, even if I'm out front of the house, I still get bitten. Its sad too cause I could sleep outside on a lawn chair on our deck in PA and not be bitten once by mosquitoes and we even had a creek behind the house. I was told "put bug spray on". Sorry but even that won't help me any, the bugs still like to bite me and I DON'T KNOW WHY either!!! It pisses me off, I could have bubba standing next to me and they will still attack me more than him.
Oh well, I still look forward to July 26th or just that whole weekend. I can't wait to see Holly, Jessica, and Michelle again. I just wished
guardianhunter was still in Texas and
wardove was around, so they could come over when we have this big get together at my house.

Creepy Crawlies
There's no fool proof method for dealing with any of them, but the dryer sheets do work wonders. Avon Skin So Soft powder will also keep the fleas and ticks away. Lots of bugs have an aversion to garlic. A garlic spray can keep them away from your plants and the bloodsuckers are much more reluctant to bite if you've just had a big Italian meal. Of course garlic has a strong odor, but you have to pick and choose your evils.
And this may sound weird, but keep track of where you are in your cycle and adjust your outdoor exposure accordingly. Some insects, bees and wasps especially in my case, will seek me out relentlessly when I'm on my period or in the week leading up to it. I guess the hormone fluctuations attract them or something.

YES!!!! Thats why they look like and probably are, but its so weird to see gnats suck blood compared to the tinyer gnats that I was use to in PA that would only bother you by flying in your eye. But its so weird why these gnats attach to me so quickly, cause it doesn't take very long for me to be outside and I find them attacking my legs. I barely get reg. mosquitoe bites anymore, its these damn gnats that are worse.
Also since we have a lake behind our house and after this West Nile virus started last summer, I was so afraid to stay outside long in the evening count of getting bit. It just sucks as to why I have to suffer on wearing sweat pants, socks, and a long sleeve shirt in order to keep myself from having bite marks all over. Course once I cover up those areas, they either attack my hands or my face. ARRRRGH! I can't fucking win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another person who recommend the dryer sheets, I just never heard of that theory before but I will try it out. I've tried everything from OFF to Skin so soft and it doesn't seem to take affect on the bugs. Must be something that I'm excuding from my pores.

WOW! Thats odd, never heard of that but then again, it doesn't surprise me that ANYTHING out there won't attract these damn bugs.

Hmmm....
Well... I will be back soon enough. I just gotta get some moneys saved after takin care of bills and such and then... um.... find a roommate who will let me have people over on weekends *you and Val* and stuff likes that. Then I'll be set!! ^_^
For the bugs....
BOUNCE or aloe baby wipes
Peroxide and lotion *jergens, suave, whatever*
Sometimes baby oil works but then you tan really well or you burn. *shrugs*
Hope that helps...... um. stuff... yeah... kk....
