AnimeFest update for Friday

For most of us that has experienced Afest knows that Fri's are the slowest. The first panel we went to was at 2pm that was just Scott McNeil and Michael Dobson. If I would've known that this was going to be quite a different panel than what I'm use to, I would've had my camcorder ready. Scott and Mike were fucking HILARIOUS! I was about to tell them that the improv is right across the street if they want to book a gig ^_~. Plus this was the first time I ever heard Scott and even Mike say so many cuss words and I'm talking about using Fuck and Motherfuck. Those two I think feed off each other alot better than Scott and Kirby, could also be the fact that Scott and Mike have worked or known each other alot longer. Skank HO Amber gave Scott a mini plushie of himself and I noticed the pic tag that was on the doll. Low and behold, the bitch used MY pic I took of Scott holding my Duo doll at Akon last yr. Now I wouldn't be so pissed if the bitch would've ASKED me about using it but she didn't.

Before we could go into the panel room, I saw Dawn on the couch chilling out and we all sat with her talking and then Alex (Treize) came over to talk a little. Looks so different that he cut his hair short again.

So back to the panel. I was dressed as Alucard with fake blood around my mouth this time and we were sitting in the front row. When Scott and Mike came in, Scott went by our row and hugged us as he went down the line. When he came to me, he went to wet his finger saying "you got a little something on your face there" hehehehehehe. Later someone gave him a gift that was a plastic pig launching gun. Don't ask me why this girl gave it to him for. These pigs were really little and while Mike would talk, Scott was messing with his gun. See a true blond in action while trying to load the damn thing. It WAS supposed to shoot 15 feet but we truely saw how far it could really fly, about 3-10 inches and I was the target both times. The first one landed by my foot and the 2nd time he tried it as we moved to the side, I knew it was going to hit me again. This time it fell onto my arm and he came over to get it from me apologizing "sorry about that Beck." I was going to tell him that if he doesn't watch it, I'll bite him. Speaking of that, when he hugged me, he was saying about how the staff took them to the Church AGAIN!!! That damn goth club they took Scott and Kirby two yrs ago. I don't know why they do that when it seems like its not their type of thing to go to. He asked me if I ever went to it yet and told him no, its not my scene.

I laughed so hard at the guys, I nearly peed my pants. And I must say that Mike is ONE buff dude. His arms are bigger than Scott's (yes I have a thing for guys with nice cut, tight arms) and I just wanna poke his chest to see how ummm....err....hard he his *holds sides from laughing* Mike should do cons more often, I'm still shocked that they got him to come here. I took some pics during the panel but I can't say for sure if they are the best things or not since bubba takes better pics than me and this is even with the digital camera.

After the panel, we (Opie, Lucky, and I) checked out both dealers rooms and let me say that they sucked ass!! Granted not everyone came in yet so I'm hoping that I see something that catches my eye this weekend. BUT I did get my hands on the Hellsing manga #5 and WOW! Talk about freaky deaky, Alucard is way scary when he gets in those changes but the death scene he did to Rip was awsome and bloody. I didn't see too much Naruto stuff in the dealers rooms but the few that I did see, weren't worth buying cause it would be either stationary sheets or tiny keychains (I can't find the big ones that match with my Kakashi) and I didn't even find any pins either. They had the BIG plushies of Kakashi and Naruto but they were going for $25-30 so I said fuck it, its not worth it. I only paid $20 for my big Shippou plushie. Didn't even see much regarding Hellsing or FMP either also which means that no one at the con had FMP #3 dvd yet. If no one has it this weekend, I'll just get them at Best Buy wardove cause it will be much cheaper than paying nearly $30 at Animepop.

The selection for anime in the vid rooms are quite shocking!!!! They are showing (I'm going off the top of my head since I don't have the schedule with me)::

When I was standing at the one table that had the big Naruto plushies, this one girl was next to me I guess as a cheaper version of Naruto and a dude that was Shino on the other side of me and we started to talk about the series. Which what he said was true, it seems that once they show certain animes at cons, not long after it seems that news come out about them releasing it out on dub. We all agreed that if they do, they can at least pick it up till they get to the start of the 2nd season (I guess thats what you want to call it), where it marked when the kids started the 2nd exam in the woods. Trish's friend who was Naruto at Akon is supposed to come in Sat in costume so I'm thinking about carrying around an empty Ramen cup so he can pose with it ^____^ I hope to see more cosplayers this weekend so I can take more pics.

Thats pretty much it for my day cause I HAD to get some sleep before work and there still wasn't anything going on so I didn't miss much.

I miss you guys who couldn't come, just really isn't the same without you guys here. *hugs all around*

So they are at least organized enough this year to have the schedules ready?

Naruto only to 11? I just looked at 47 last night (it's pretty sad, I was weepy eyed over it).
