First off, thanx to all for the birthday wishes.

As weird as it may sound, I think this was probably one of my better bday's.

I took Fri off work so I had a long bday weekend since it's kinda lame to have it fall on a Sun. so you might as well get all the good stuff out of the way before the actual day.

Bubba surprised me Fri night when the change of plans to go eat ended up at buffalo wild wings and already had friends waiting for us at our table. I had a feeling something was up but didn't dwell on it cause it would only ruin the moment. AND I HAD A BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!! After not having one for ummm....about 5 yrs now? I had to laugh as to what bubba got on my cake....Spongebob *laughs*. Said that they didn't have Garfield so he went with the next idea. I'll post a pic once bubba is able to get it off his phone since he forgot to bring the camera along.

Sat. afternoon, I headed over to Mona's to catch the afternoon showing of Batman at the Studio Movie Grill in Arlington. (yes bubba, that was the one we went to before) That place is pretty neat though they could stand to give a little more space between everyone's chairs. The price for the food is decent, makes up for not having to pay out the ass for popcorn and the other essential junk food. The steak quesadillas were pretty good.

But as for the movie itself, I wouldn't mind seeing it again. My reason for going wasn't cause of Heath being dead but the idea of seeing him cast for the Joker since the beginning and seeing a pic of him, made me want to see it. If it wasn't for how they created the style of the Joker, I doubt I would've been hyped to see it cause I didn't go see the other when it first came out. Now I almost want to dress up as this version of the Joker for Halloween or maybe Nurse Joker, besides, I got the "joker" smile for it. *laughs* (though I'm not joking about having the kind of smile that I do, I was even told that back in 8th grade -___-) I think what Heath did to make the Joker shine was the more demented side he had than what Jack did for the Joker (though his version was good too) and in some ways, you can't help but snicker at his personality. And of course I love what they did with Harvey Dent's character too. I didn't know "he" was going to be in this movie till I read a Yahoo's review about the movie and it gave away the character which I didn't mind.

Speaking of dead actors and their HUGE roles they left behind but I'm really surprised no one has mentioned about how the whole thing was almost like The Crow when Brandon Lee was killed during the filming of the movie and the legacy he left behind with that movie.

Of course certain movie channels on tv last weekend had to show just about all the Batman movies and after seeing them, they are sooo cheesy!!! What I like about this new Batman is that it's more realistic and I guess a little more personal without that cheesy stage setup. I think picking ChiTown was a great choice to film it at.

Then on Sun. Mona and I went to Tokyo One for my bday dinner since they give you a gift, a "cake" (which all it was, was frozen whipped cream with fruit on it), and 10% off coupon. Oooh...and their red bean ice cream was really good. Plus if you sign up online, they send you a 10% coupon in the mail which I did and used mine up for dinner. I guess they give you two things to choose from for the gifts: a sake set which comes with 3 cups and the sake bottle or two tea cups that they use at the restaurant which I always liked and always wanted. Just ask [livejournal.com profile] guardianhunter how every time we'd go there to eat, I'd always would want to walk out with her tea cup. Sooo....when our cute waiter brought all of this out, he had the tea cups and I guess I had a look of shock on my face and he was like "if you want the sake set, I can give you that instead." Which I didn't of course. So here are my cups which I am using already. It's the littlest things that make me happy, and THAT made me happy! Along with of course other things that Mona and I discussed this past weekend that I'll mention later on in the upcoming months or so. *squeals*

So all in all, it was a pretty good long birthday weekend.
