Lost, pimping new icons, and dvd prices

FINALLY got around to watching the download I had of Lost since I missed out on the first eps last week. All I can say, is that PLEASE don't let it turn out between a Stephen King's "Langoliers/Jurassic Park", I'll be kinda pissed if thats the case. Its an interesting show so far, I just hope that its going to be worth it.

wardove made some more awesome yet silly Tenjou Tenge icons here. I can't stop laughing at the Bunshichi "hands down his pants and scratching icon." (yes he's scratching, not jerking himself off) Gotta use that one, though I have to decide on which of my icons to take down. I tell ya, 50 icons isn't enough here on LJ damn it!!! Instead of fucking with the update area, why not offer us more icons??!!

UGH! The thing that sucks about having our Super's office in the printroom now is his smelly cologne lingers in the room now when he's here and after he leaves. It truly makes me wanna vomit it stinks so bad. Can the guy not smell his self to just see how much he has put on??!!!

Now regarding dvd prices, after what I had to spend on Gungrave today, has made me stick to buying online, regardless if I have to wait nearly a week just to get the shit in the mail.

I COULD NOT BELIEVE the horrible price they wanted for Gungrave at Best Buy. 28 fucking dollars!!!! For FOUR EPS AT THAT!!! YET Wolf's Rain is only $19 and that usually ranges with 5 eps if not more or less on a dvd. WTF GIVES??!!! Is it Geneon/Pioneer's doing or what??!! Yeah, so after the 8% tax added onto the price, we paid $31 for it. So when we get home, I check online to the one place I normally buy dvds from and they only wanted $20.97 for it, pending on what you want for shipping, its only about $2 or so and I don't even have to pay sales tax on that. Your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

A bit about Gungrave dvd covers and a slight review of dvd #2

After looking at the dvd covers again, I just realized something. Yes, it may be dumb of me to notice this or even gripe about it but hey, this is how I am.

The cover for #2 should've been used for dvd #1. Reason being is that dvd 2 cover has Bear and Radd (Deeds bro) in the background. Radd's scene took place in the first dvd. The cover that they should've used for the US dvd #2 should've been this:



Only cause, well what is on the cover, takes place in the 2nd dvd. (more like the scene of eps. 6)

or this, cause Bunji's intro is in the 2nd as well:




Now the cover for the 3rd US release will be::




Now that is suitable considering that Brad Wong and Cannon Balken debuts.

Course, like I said, I'm picky like that. Though I think if Geneon would use their head and give us reversible covers, that way you can choose which pic you want.


After watching just about all of dvd #2, I did a small write up here on gun_grave about certain things I might have noticed and what not.

Lost part 2

HOLY SHIT! Anyone else get creeped out by this eps??? I got chills and goose bumps all over. What freaked me out the most was that radio transmission. Man, just what the fuck is with this island and what made that plane crash. I'm also anxious to see what kind of ppl the surviors are and just what the hell is going to happen.

GAH! I can't wait till next Wed.
