So bored, Avatar downloads, dub Bleach #18, and whatever

This is a first where I'm like totally bored out of my mind. Not much has been going on aside from this shitty weather. I took off work Mon and Wed thinking that the roads were really bad. By the time late afternoon hit, the roads were pretty dry and there went 16hrs worth of vacation time wasted on nothing. Though the other guy I work with who lives closer to work said that roughly 80% of the employees never showed up on Monday and not many showed up yesterday either. I don't mind the 30'ish degree weather cause it IS winter but I could do without all the wet stuff. If it wants to do it, it should wait till the weekend when I don't have to be out in it, damn it!!

I want to write but the stuff I either need to complete or start anew just isn't flowing through my noggin like I want it to. I guess it would be a good time to catch up on some anime that's still on the laptop.

Since it seemed like this past holiday was an Avatar spree of ppl receiving the show, talked about the show, and the ones I had burnt on disc for ppl as well, I'm thinking of uploading Season 1 and 2 for the taking like I did with Dexter. I'll probably start working on uploading the eps this weekend so I have enough on hand for you peeps to download. Might as well get it ready since I do believe Feb. is when the new season starts(?)

Speaking of Dexter, those who dl'ed the eps, I still want to hear from you guys on what you thought of the ending or just how much it made you think who was really the killer and what you thought when it was revealed overall.

ARGH! I finally got around to watching dub #18 of Bleach today. To me, the dub is nothing but a HUGE disappointment and it won't get better. And even the FEW characters who have okay voices, don't make up for the shittyness elsewhere. The conversation with Renji & Rukia in her cell annoyed me to no end. WHY is she calling him "MR.LIEUTENANT?" "MR.OFFICER?" WTF is with the whole mister bullshit??!! (I don't quite recall what she called him in the sub) I kinda liked Rikichi's voice but even his dialouge was changed in regards to the Hell Butterfly. In BOTH the sub and in the manga, he calls his fake butterfly Jennifer. WHY change anything??!! And when Renji is heading to the cell and those girls greeted him, he sounded nicer when he's like "Yo" (or something to that extent) not "at ease" and the dub sounded so pissy when he said it. *headsmash* Yeah, yeah, I keep torturing myself on watching this shitty dub and constantly bitching about it but maybe I'm just a masochist that way.

Wow, I'm usually one of the people that are fine with dubs but that was pretty damn bad. Not just the voice acting but why did they feel the need to change lines around like that? *shakes head* Poor Renji.

Keigo and Chizuru sound pretty decent. I was hoping for something different for Urahara. :(

And that's the fucked up part about it all. If it weren't for Renji's voice being ripped to shreds, I could've cared less how the others sound. But since they ruined my fav character, I really can't stomach the dub. Even the very few voices I like doesn't make the pain go away. I'm actually surprised they haven't fucked up Bya's voice since you know his would be sooo hard to mangle *lol*. I fear for the rest of the SS peeps.
